We had a lovely stay at the Charles hotel and were pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade on our arrival - a very rare event these days!
The breakfast was amazing, with kind, thoughtful and very attentive staff. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Munich was amazing with incredible Christmas markets - so much to do and see.

Decent hotel by the airport but outside of Munich. Biggest complaint is the internet/wifi was horrible and wasn’t connecting. When I went down to the front desk to ask for help, the woman was extremely rude and dismissive. She said that because the hotel was fully booked, that’s probably why the internet wasn’t working and I would have to deal with it. When the Internet did finally work, they have strict parental controls on the WiFi. I was trying to watch YouTube podcast and then tried Netflix (nothing inappropriate) and most of the videos or shows weren’t showing up. But if I used data from my phone it worked just fine. Everything else was adequate but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The hotel is situated in an ideal location. The staff are friendly and work to meet your needs. The hotel rooms are a bit older and some of the amenities do not work the way they should. I would still recommend this hotel but know that there are opportunities for upgrades and improvements.
