Absolutely love it.

We loved our stay at the Seabird!! We are locals and were here one night for my husband's 50th birthday. They comped our parking for the occasion and gave us a free glass of champagne at check in - great start! They also decorated our room with a Happy Birthday sign, balloons, and other decor. The hotel lobby is beachy, relaxing, and decorated with fun, whimsical art, plus at least 6 Christmas trees for the holidays. I loved the calm library room and enjoyed the gym. My husband had a very nice massage at the spa and said it was the most relaxed he'd been in a while. :-) It's great being able to walk across the street to the beach, the boardwalk, and the pier, plus the cool restaurants and bars on Mission Ave. It's also a very short drive to some great restaurants in downtown Carlsbad. We didn't have our kids with us, but they also have a kids play room, a pool table in the commons area, and a nice pool with jacuzzi. It's clean, beautiful, and the staff was all very friendly and professional. Would definitely stay here again!!

Positives: Room was very nicely decorated, with thoughtful amenities and great ocean views. Staff very polite and provided great service. Negatives: we could hear the train passing and ringing ding ding all day and night long as our room door was facing the back street. There was too much noise in the hallway with doors opening and closing. They charged a $51 daily parking fee and $60 resort fee (and the pool was closed).
