The food at the restaurant was tasteless, and it took 1h for them to prepare 2 eggs with toasts and there was only 1 more table with us with 5 people. There were only a few chairs at the pool, but not enough. When we arrived the first room smelled mold a lot, but they changed us to the second floor although was a little better was still humid, with mold on the walls and the air-conditioning wasn't working properly. Neither the phone was working to call the reception, so every time I needed something I had to go to the reception to ask. The staff was kind, but the cleaning room was reasonable only.

We had two rooms booked one room was good the other room had mould on the celling near the aircon and the aircon didnt work, the room had a over powering smell of mould so we asked for the room to be changed, the staff assisted with this.

Absolutely perfect! Happy, friendly staff at the most beautiful property possible. The location is ideal for walking around Ubud. Easy access to the part of Ubud and the Monkey Forest. But the staff make the stay at Pertiwi Bisma 1 absolutely perfect!

I liked the friendly staff, and there many negatives to list in the review. A few to mention, the incredibly dangerous and steep walk to my room was unlike any place I have stayed (61 countries). The stairs were slippery and no rails were offered. The wifi was essentially not functional and made it impossible to check email. No telephone in the room. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and poor quality. The patio door would not close. The bathroom light was not working and had to demand its repair so I could shave. I cannot in good conscience submit anything beyond 2 stars. I will never return.

Great hotel with a nice view
We found Pertiwi Bisma to be one of the nicest hotels with a view from Ubud. They provided a good service and also, the two pools are amazing!

I loved this property. The staff is wonderful. They were friendly, professional, accommodating & very helpful arranging excursions & a driver. The hotel is beautiful. The pools were incredible! And the landscaping was beautiful. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We didn’t actually stay in the end...
When we checked in and shown to our room, the bathroom wasn’t great at all. It was just very dirty, we went to the reception who were very helpful. They shown us another room, which wasn’t much better and after a while, we managed to move to their sister hotel - Pertiwi Bisma Resort and Spa - which was an absolute dream! Couldn’t recommend that hotel enough. Really clean, massive room, beautiful setting and the pools were incredible!

Great pools and service
Good place if you want to spend a couple of days and I would recommend the breakfast. The pools are also great. However, we had a few problems e.g. ant problem, wifi problem, and a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom one day (and no water). It was also on a very rough road. If you don't like stairs don't go here!

Good place and location
Not a bad location, walking distance to the main street. Friendly staff, good air con, and fairly clean. The only problem was the wifi only because I work from my computer. I had to go to the lobby to use the wifi. Other than that, pretty good hotel.

The staff here are excellent. They go above and beyond to please the guest. We had some WiFi and A/C issues that were quickly addressed and fixed. My only note is the shower didn’t drain well so you are standing in dirty bath water when taking a shower.

Affordable hotel with a beautiful view
Great! Such an affordable price for such a beautiful view. Prepare for a long walk from lobby to the room if you choose valley suite, but the view is definitely worth the walk.

I stay there for 1 week. Staff is really friendly and helpful. The room was bigger and better (bed, linen, tv...) than what I expected for the price, because as I mentioned, the relation between quality and price is really good. I did not book breakfast, I paid my breakfast when I got there, but totally worth it. Most of the nights i had dinner in, and the food was delicious. AC was working perfectly

hotel that makes you feel welcome
A number of days into our stay of twelve days, a circumstance arose through no fault of the hotel which dictated that we would have to move. The management pulled out all the stops and put us in a more expensive room at no cost to ourselves allowing us to enjoy the remainder of our stay. Hotel staff went the extra mile at every occasion.

We did not stay here because although we booked a twin room they did not have any twin rooms available when we arrived. They offered us a room upgrade next door at Pertiwi Bisma 2 which was lovely and less steps, so overall it was better for us.

I have called the hotel 2 days before as I wanted to book in one night earlier. The staff member on the phone said that there is a room available and if I could send them an email. Unfortunately when we arrived the room was not available and we were transferred to Pertiwi Bisma Resort and Spa. We then checked in to Pertiwi Bisma 1 the next day. I was asking for a bottle opener as we had our water in glass bottles with no screw top. It took more than an hour to get one. The bed and linen had an unpleasant smell and we had a cockroach in our room. When I was booking there were pictures of Yoga taking place at this hotel, this is not the case anymore though. I was disappointed as this was one of the reasons I booked this hotel in the first place. Overall not a great experience.

Each days something was not working.
Day 1 - the ac was not working and top swimming pool not working Day 2- no running water = no bathroom/shower day 3 - Toilet flush jammed Beautiful scenery at 3rd floor pool. Staff needs was ok.

Great hotel in Ubud
our accommodation was excellent with great views of the hotel grounds and surrounding area.We were on the top floor with a balcony. It was in walking distance to the Monkey Forest (5 minutes) and to other tourist spots. Night life was good. It was Monsoon weather and it rained around 3 pm most days but was still very enjoyable.Everyone was very welcoming and our breakfast was excellent with plenty of food. We will be returning.

Very scenic hotel
We stayed at the Pertiwi Bisma 1 for a couple of nights in the pool villa rooms overlooking the infinity pool and lush ravine. It was beautiful and a very romantic setting and for a getaway I think it was lovely. There is a cut through to Monkey Forrest rd through the Pertiwi hotel but this also includes some pretty step terraine, so not ideal if you want to be close and in easy access of the centre of Ubud. Breakfasts are buffet style and very ordinary (I chose not to eat here even though included in the stay). I have read other similar reviews so surprised the hotel hasn't corrected this. I tried a pancake and had to spit it out as it was like cold play dough. For the amount of guests they need to have individual cooked breakfasts for guests of a better quality. We had to get them to check our air conditioning as the room was unbearable to be in. Apparently the exhaust fan in the bathroom was making it not work properly. It was bearable when this was turned off, but it really needs a air con with higher capacity. TV is mainly Indonesian channels, satellite TV with more channels would have been nice. Be warned, I have stayed at other Ubud hotels with steps but these ones are severe!! It is workout to get to the lobby from our villa.

The hotel lobby was beautiful, the staff was very friendly but our room left a lot to be desired. The room itself was average but the bathroom was horrible. The grout was black from mold and the sink leaked, so the floor and walls were also moldy. The toilet and bathtub were not very clean either. the location was not so bad but the taxi drivers had a hard time finding it.

Pertiwi Bisma was a lovely stay for us. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The two infinity pools just spectacular. Breakfast was very nice. The rooms are a bit dated and there is about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Ubud but all in all it was great!

Worth the price
The pools are as good as they look in the pictures. Facing west, so great for sunsets. We got an apartment room, which unfortunately did not have a good view of the sunset (it just faces the opposite apartment building). Only the end apartment rooms have views of the sunset. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints there. I only have 2 grievances: 1) I could not contact them via any of there email addresses or their facebook page. I wanted to confirm my reservation but no one ever replied to me. 2) The installation of their bathtub is flawed, causing a great amount of shower water to leak onto the bathroom floor. I could not figure out a workaround to the problem. Overall, for the price I would recommend this hotel.

Hotel with amazing infinity pools
This hotel, despite being a little bit away from the main central area is great. It's nice and quiet, the two infinity pools are incredible and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff here were incredibly friendly and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The one downside was the food; the breakfast in the mornings was a bit disappointing in the sense that the pastries and bread were constantly covered in bugs and the fruit platter was often near empty. For being a free included breakfast definitely can't complain however if it's not included definitely don't waste your money! Other than this, one of my favourite hotels from our SE Asia trip!

This hotel was great very close to town but out of the way so it's quiet. The pools are stunning with views of the jungle, palm trees, banana palms and sacred river. I loved it and will be back.
