"The location and accommodation is everything you need for self catering or just a big comfortable room, we had room 104 and it was spacious and well equipped. We could hear conversation from the adjoining room and our freezer had to be turned off at night as it was making noises like a wounded animal. We put up with these things which didn’t impact our 2 night stay too much. Everglades city is a super base and Captaine Table is a place we’d be happy to stay at again. "

"The property is quite attractive and quiet. I understand it was recently bought. So there is a bit of learning and work needed. The nearest restaurants are about 12 miles away so the need for getting the in house restaurant up to speed is critical. "

"The front desk person was not friendly and seemed annoyed when we checked in and did not give us any useful information, such as when I could expect the deposit back or how to connect to the wifi. I called the front desk a dozen times to try to switch rooms because neighbors were yelling until 3 am the night before. Their phone rings and rings, and they never pick up. Their email also does not work. When I was finally able to go to the front desk, they were unable to switch our room but were able to tell us the people left, so we should not be disturbed again. Rooms are nice, but the sink pressure is way too harsh. The door is difficult to lock and unlock. "
