Taawaki Inn - Cottonwood, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We came for the Magical Christmas Journey at Verde Canyon Railroad for the night. As soon as we walked in I noticed the cleanliness of the hotel and it even smells clean! I loved the Native ambience, pretty display of Kachina dolls and paintings. Cute gift shop and lots of Native art throughout the building, including each room number is listed on a decorative clay piece on the wall. Whoever designed this inn really put a lot of thought into it. Room was wonderful and again super clean, not a spot or dust bunny in sight! We had two queen beds which were very comfortable, more than enough pillows, there were extra blankets, towels and robes. Loved the little kitchenette complete with microwave, fridge and keurig. There’s a built in dresser and place to hang clothes above it as well. The view was exquisite!!! From our room we could see the mountains and Jerome in the distance. From the lobby you can see the beautiful valley and go out to where they have cushy seats and propane fire pits. We took advantage of that once night fell, the desk clerk was super sweet and turned one of the pits on for us right away. This was one of our best stays anywhere by far. Keep it up Taawaki Inn!! Def will stay here again sometime, wish we would’ve stayed longer. Not far from the Tuzigoot National Monument either, just a couple of min drive. Highly recommend this Inn!!!!"
"This place feels more like a motel, but the room itself is quite spacious. The bathroom is a bit small, but overall the stay was very comfortable and perfectly fine. It met our needs well and was a good place to stay."
"The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The location is perfect to be able to walk everywhere and enjoy the tasting rooms. The staff were nice and all the guests raved about how much they liked the hotel.
The only down side is the bathroom is quite small due to the age of the building so there is just a tiny sink and no space to put your toiletries."
"Our stay was nothing short of amazing, cannot recommend enough! Rooms were super clean and host was very thoughtful providing all utilities any family would need in a home away from home. The hot tub was a hit with the kids, water was the perfect temperature. The view from the backyard is just stunning, especially the night sky! Communication with the host was very easy, ample parking, safe neighborhood and very close to restaurants. "
Just a 9 minute stroll to Old Town Cottonwood. Open to short & medium term stays

"I would give six stars if I could! The host was quick to respond to every message and consistently warm and helpful. We drove to AZ from WV to attend the funeral of a sibling and this house was just the welcoming haven that our family needed during a difficult time. The house was even better than we expected from the pictures. It felt welcoming and it was clear that a lot of thought was put into making everything comfortable for guests."
