About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Perfectly Imperfect Cabin, in forest near Blue Ridge. Relax and enjoy nature.

Welcome to our one-of-a-kind mountain retreat set on 11 private acres in the Cherokee National Forest. It's conveniently located just minutes from the Ocoee River’s whitewater rapids and the small-town charm of Blue Ridge, Georgia. We like to say it's not far. Just far enough so things get quiet proper.

This cabin was never meant to be perfect. It was meant to be felt. What began as a simple one-room hunting cabin has grown, piece by piece, into a warm and welcoming hideaway that blends authentic, handbuilt character with the modern comforts you expect. Out here, the noise drops away. The creek does the talking. Wildlife passes through. And if the night gets quiet enough, you may hear what locals like to call the forest’s guardian keeping watch.

Pet Friendly

Well-mannered dogs are more than welcome. There’s room to roam, trails to explore, and a creek that never fails to draw interest from four-legged guests.

Why Guests Love It Here

Set deep in the forest, yet close enough to town, this cabin offers the rare balance of privacy and access. With 11 wooded acres to yourself, there’s space to gather with family, reconnect with friends, or simply unplug and breathe. More than a place to stay, this is a living piece of Appalachian history. It's handbuilt, imperfect, and full of soul.

Cozy, but Comfortable

The beds are fitted with good mattresses meant for full nights of sleep, not tossing and turning, and the living spaces are set up for slow mornings and evenings that don’t ask much of you. When you feel like keeping one foot in the modern world, there’s high-speed internet, a 55-inch smart TV, and Alexa on hand. And when morning finally rolls around, the Keurig Duo is ready, because coffee shouldn’t be the hardest part of your day.

If you’d rather unplug altogether, settle into a chair on the wraparound porch, wander down to the creekside fire pit, or sit still long enough to hear the woods doing what they’ve been doing since before anybody thought to name this place.

Sleeping Arrangements

The cabin comfortably accommodates families and small groups. The main-level primary bedroom features a king bed. The second bedroom includes a queen bed with space for an additional queen air mattress if needed. The upstairs loft offers two twin beds and additional open space suitable for another queen air mattress.

Bathrooms

Three bathrooms provide comfort and convenience. The primary ensuite includes a shower and a spacious garden tub for long, unhurried soaks. A second full bathroom features a shower along with a washer and dryer. A third half bath is easily accessible from the main living areas.

Outdoor Living

Outdoor spaces are designed for both rest and gathering. Enjoy the wraparound porch with rocking chairs and soft solar lighting in the evenings, or head down to the creekside fire pit for stories, stargazing, and nights that stretch longer than planned. Parking is available for 3–4 vehicles, and simple, authentic touches throughout the property reflect a true mountain way of life.

Location Highlights

Located just minutes from Blue Ridge, Georgia, and Murphy, North Carolina, the cabin offers easy access to the region’s best experiences. Whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River, hiking trails, waterfalls, zip lining, and scenic drives are all close by. When it’s time for town, local restaurants, breweries, and small shops are only a short drive away.

Kitchen & Dining

The fully equipped kitchen includes:

Full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave,
Dishwasher for easy cleanup,
Cookware, utensils, and dishware,
Dining space suited for shared meals or quiet breakfasts

Bottom Line

Whether you came to run the Ocoee, disappear into the woods for a spell, or sit by the fire long enough to forget what day it is, Perfectly Imperfect Cabin is a place where time slows down like a pickup stuck in low gear. It’s hand-built, well-worn in the right ways, and watched over by the kind of quiet spirit that keeps the woods honest and the nights peaceful.

Great location, tucked away in your own little holler and we loved that part. The interior wasnt bad. Wasnt great, but wasnt bad. Felt somewhat incomplete. But we really enjoyed the place. Our 2 disappointments were the wrap around porch wasnt safe and no fire pit as pictured Materials are on site to repair the porch I believe but was not safe in its current condition All in all, we would go back here if it were to meet our needs. The best thing about this place is seclusion. Didnt see a soul for 3 days and thats what we needed
