Easy walk from the train station and on the bus route for the airport. Fantastic, helpful staff. Well worth stopping for an extra day in Bergamo if you’re flying in and out of the city.

The hotel is located close to the train station, which is great. The staff were great and friendly.
But the room was stinking of a cigarette smoke although smoking was prohibited.
The shower in the room was broken. Hot water was coming through bath tap only, the shower head had low pressure for cold water and no hot water at all.
The issue has been reported to the reception, hopefully it was fixed. The room number was 666, just in case.

Villa Appiani is at a great location to get to center of Florence without being right in the center of it. It's a quite location where you can relax after a day of sightseeing and they have a great resturant. Also they provide shuttle service to the entrance of Florence at no extra cost. It's a bit of a walk but worth it. They have two drop off locations close to Florence or midway at another popular sightseeing stop. We really enjoyed staying there and would defenitely do so again if the opportunity arises.
