Hoff Avenue House is an urban retreat in the heart of Tucson. The historic 3-bedroom, 2-bath home has a fenced backyard. Please note that the backyard is not private and is shared with other guests who rent the back 1-bedroom, 1-bath Casita, which is also a rental. (Casita guests will have their own private entrance via a gate and use a front door keypad to enter the Casita.)

Hoff Avenue House is crafted in the classic desert style and boasts three large beds. Additional amenities include air conditioning and heating, high-speed wireless internet (150mbps download/10mbps upload), a smart TV with Chromecast to link up streaming accounts, a coffee maker, a microwave, and a gas range.

The space is well equipped. Upon check-in, you will find coffee and basic kitchen supplies/seasonings. Soap, dishes, pots and pans, towels, hair dryer, and iron are all provided. We have tried to think of everything, but if you find you are missing an item, please ask, and we will do our best to provide it!

The property is a private oasis in bustling central Tucson. 1 block from 4th Avenue, 2 blocks from Hotel Congress/Congress Street, 1/2 a mile from the University of Arizona, and located near the Tucson Bike Loop! Some favorite walkable spots include Cup Cafe, Bison Wiches, Empire Pizza, The Buffet Bar, the Container Bar, and Ermanos. All within a 10-minute or less walk!

Park at our house then venture out by foot or bike to explore downtown. If you didn't bring a bike, there are TEP rental bikes at the corner of 9th and 4th Ave in front of Dillinger Brewing Company. Hop on the Tucson Link tram to access all of downtown and the University of Arizona.

PETS: This is a pet-friendly home, and guests are welcome to bring their furry friends! There is a limit of two pets, and the associated fees are $58 for one pet and $90 for two pets. (Fees are charged per stay, not per night. For two pets, $58 is included in the initial reservation payment, and an additional fee request is sent after booking.) We ask that pets not be allowed on the furniture and that guests pick up and discard any droppings.

PACKAGES & MAIL: If you need to receive packages or mail during your stay, please DO NOT plan to have anything delivered to the property. Instead, please plan to have packages or mail delivered to an Amazon locker, FedEx location, etc.

Aside from an issue with one of the toilets that is easily repairable, the house was great. It's located within an easy walk to 4th and Congress, where there are many good restaurants, bars, and music.I would stay there again.

This house is in a walkable neighborhood -- close to the University of Arizona, the streetcar, restaurants and bars, downtown, even the Amtrak station. We loved having options beyond relying on a car.But it is close to railroad tracks and there are plenty of freight trains that use them. The owners thoughtfully provide white noise machines, as the description states. That and the ceiling fan drowned out almost all of the noise. It could not handle the thumping bass sounds late Friday and Saturday nights from what we assumed was a bar across the railroad tracks downtown. (Violation of city noise ordinance?)Either it bothers you or it doesn't -- one person in our group usually slept with the windows open.That aside ... the house is clean, the kitchen is well-stocked with plates, cups, utensils, cooking equipment. Note that one of the bathrooms is a Jack and Jill bathroom, with doors to each of the two bedrooms with queen beds. It's noted in the description but we either missed it or had forgotten.The rental comes with 2 parking permits for on-street parking.As the description states, the outdoor space is shared with a neighboring rental. Nice outdoor space, but we barely used it. So much to do in Tucson!

The house was clean but has some serious foundation issues. You can feel the slope in the floors. There were rugs covering some flooring issues. You could see day light in jack and jill bathroom where the wall meets the floor. We slept in bedroom 2 and was surprised the bed frame didn't break. It was extremely flimsy and the feet were bent and not straight. Bedroom 1 is listed as a double which is not correct. It pulls out into a queen but it then takes up the entire room. You are unable to open the door to the back yard with the bed expanded. The trains were loud even with the noise machines and fans. Friday night seemed like a party was happening on the street. Lots of cars and music. All in all it worked for what we needed. I had zero issues with the host's communication. They checked in often.

The house was clean, seemed like it was newly renovated on the inside, and the outside (back yard) was lovely. Back yard was enclosed for the dog, which was awesome for us. Location was excellent; very quick walk to lots of cool restaurants/shopping/entertainment options on 4th, Congress, Broadway, etc. We are a family with a teenager and a younger kid and it worked great for us. Will definitely try to stay here again when we come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location couldn't be better. There were many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The only slightly negative that I would say is that the a/c doesn't vent as well to the bedrooms as the main living area. Both bedrooms had ceiling fans to help make up the difference. We would definitely stay here again!!

Our stay here was great! Plenty of space and comfortable beds. We brought our dog so we loved the backyard space. The location was perfect for entertainment. We were close to downtown and lively places like 4th Avenue. We will definitely book again when we visit Tucson!

Todd's home is an awesome home in a perfect location! Very nicely organized and decorated and also very clean with some modern upgrades. The backyard area is super inviting and so is the front porch area. Loved it, would love to stay here again in the future!

Drove down from Phoenix to spend a few days in Tucson to celebrate my graduation for The University of Arizona. My parents, kiddos, husband and I stayed at this property for 2 nights. The reservation, check in/out, and communication with the host was seamless. 10/10 recommend this property! We walked to dinner and the nightlife both nights of our trip.We felt safe and the house had all amenities we needed. Thank you Todd and Team for a great graduation getaway!!

Know we stayed in this VRBO during the Thanksgiving Holiday, and had a blast! We had such a great time staying here! From the courtyard to the centrally-close location, this was an win on all fronts. Had the right amount of kitchen/washroom and space for us to feel close but also have our own areas. Then the proximity to downtown and ALSO Fourth Avenue, what a treasure. And the hosts were consistently in contact. Would highly recommend.
