"Everything was clean but the microwave smell so bad like a rotten meat. We practically have to clean and sanitize it first before we can use it and have to open the window to let the smell out. "This was our second day at Alder cottage, and we came back for a reason! It’s away from everything, beautiful views, we love to hear the sea lions barking, and the waves crashing. It’s a great homebase, and we went up to Oregon and then also around Redwood Park and so many beaches! On this trip we went to Gold Bluffs beach and were nearly the only people there. A perfect get-away. Customer service is also immediately available and responsive. We did not use the hot tub, but appreciate the fantastic and well appointed kitchen. (My hubby is a great cook!) "
