Hello, Thank you for your review. I am confused about the price you mentioned. Our rates currently start at $330 per night to $450 for our best Chalet suite with a king bed and lake view. Our meal package is $160 per day and includes dinner and breakfast. $510 per night for a lake side lodge room and $540 for jetted tub with meals included. We are sorry that you felt your room was not clean. We would have addressed your concern at the time if given the opportunity. Cleaning staff take pride in their job and we appreciate constructive feedback. Please let me know more about your dining experience during your stay. Warmly, Inga

This is an odd post since,the Inn has been reinvented from the foundation to the roof and all in between. we have updated the rooms and continue to improve upon our lovely Inn. New hardwood and bathrooms with walk in showers New in 2018. I am sorry you were turned off - Siblings can and do have disagreements. We are a family owned business.

Hi Peter, I am sorry you were not happy. We provided private parking next to our side entrance for your bike. Please let us know how we could make our property more bike friendly. We were booked with a private function during your stay and fit you in for two meals, Please note that Expedia reservations are for a stay without meals. Our dining room was closed Sunday evening because we did not have reservations but food is always close by Buckhorn is a quaint hamlet only 3 kilometers from our Inn and has 5 restaurants, liquor store, foodland and pharmacy. We look forward to you visiting again.

Yes it was a very busy long holiday weekend filled with happy contented guests. It is unfortunate that this guest found so many faults and could not enjoy her stay. Our rates are fair and competitively priced. She selected second lowest cost room without meals and with a discount. Yes we are pet friendly for a fee. Her room has never ever had a dog stay there or anywhere near it and the newly upgraded room has new plush berber broadloom and all halls had a lovely new carpet. No wet dog smell. The shower/ tub combination has a new water saver head. Our water comes from a well and goes into a septic tank, the sinks are solid porcelain. We find that new individual wrapped plastic cups are the wisest choice for us rather than washing glasses. 2 cups were in her room and more would have been supplied if required. She was there only 2 nights, single occupancy. We would gladly provided more cups if she asked. Most guests choose our inclusive meal package and eat in our dining room where a bottomless cup of coffee is provided with the meals. Housekeepers stock the coffee/tea in the common living room regularly. Many rooms have fridge, kettle, lovely heart shaped air jet tub and slate floors. Several rooms have lovely hardwood floor, cedar ceiling, fridge, air jet tub & all rooms have a lovely view. Our inn is family owned and operated with 3 generations living on site. We did not intend to operate similar to a chain “cookie cutter” style hotel. There for we decorated in an “Olde Rocky Mountain” look with lots of wood and furnished with antiques many from the 1800’s. It is not advertised as luxury. It is casual, comfortable. I don’t see anything as run down. We have many well to do repeat guests that love it here. I suspect this guest travels to hotels on busy city streets or motels on highways if our discounted rate was one of the most expensive places she has stayed. We are a quiet, serene, private adult family owned lakefront lodge in a spectacular wilderness setting. Big difference.

An angry old man. We have WiFi, tv, dining, jets work on the outdoor hot tub and the jet tub, patio door locks. He booked room only. No meals were requested. Mr. M booked the same day and at a discounted price. His wife was very happy and said she will return with friends but said her husband did not want to take this getaway. Our family lives on site and was here the entire time and could have assisted him in his confusion but he did not ask the entire 2 nights he was here.
