Peacefulness

The location of Roaring River is perfect for a praceful get away. This soothing sound of the river, the stillness of the atmosphere coupled with an on-site restaurant and quaint private beaches allows for a serene getaway.

Charming Place

Great little getaway cabin for two, the property is beautiful and the owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Loved our weekend getaway here, will do ot again and bring friends.

Quaint and Serene

Very clean and truly had everything we needed. Only complaint was towels smelled a little musty. We will definitely be back to such a quaint and serene property.

Nice and peaceful stay!

This was a great weekend getaway for me and my husband. We visited the winery once before and wanted to come back due to atmosphere and peacefulness of the river run along the property.

Comfortable and clean cabin

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this property overall. The restaurant has great food and the wine tasting was great. We met the owner and he was also very hospitable.

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed the outdoor setting of our cabin and the whole facility. The cabin was nice and provided everything we needed. Loved to hear the river anywhere on the property. The restaurant was very good and we would recommend it.

Great stay

It was a great little spot to unwind and relax. It was quiet and the sound of the river will put you to sleep. Me and my wife recommends it for a great getaway and for a great price. We were very pleased with the whole weekend stay. 5 star worthy.

Lovely weekend stay!

Lovely property, comfy cozy cabin, delicious food and wine. 10 minute drive to the hiking trails of Stone Mtn, and if there had been such low water due to drought conditions I could have caught trout 50 yards from our cabin porch! Thank you Tom & Jospehine for a wonderful weekend with my wife!

Excellent experience at Roaring River Vineyard

Mr. Silvey is an excellent host. He was accessible, answered our questions and was very helpful. The setting is quiet and peaceful. Facilities are comfortable; I recommend lunch at the restaurant. Vineyard is close to small towns and attractions for sightseeing.

Stay At Serendipity Cabin

Wonderful stay at cozy Serendipity Cabin. The setting is perfect for a relaxing, quiet weekend! Very private! Loved being near the river and enjoyed watching the trout! The outside fireplace and hot tub were nice additions! Tom was the perfect host, checking in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely return!

Potential

Lot of potential - property seemed to need a lot of cleaning - trash bins overflowing, cigars and food on the ground, large bees nest under chairs and in lights. Don't look under or behind the bed. Great location, river is nice. Person we talked to there was very nice. Just needs a little attention and could be a 4-5 star.

Cabin

The cabin was not on river . There was a building straight in front of us so you had to walk around to see the river. They make it sound like you can sit on the porch ,& see the river but not true. The cBin wasn't very clean.

Wonderful property and relaxing!

We absolutely loved our getaway for the weekend at the cabin. You could just walk the restuarant on the property and have a few glasses of wine without the worries of driving. The food was exquisite at Chez Josephine! I recommend everyone give it a try. Especially the Eggs Benedict for brunch on Sunday! The owners were very friendly and welcoming and made our stay feel very homey! The views of the river were very relaxing! The hot tub was also a plus so close to the river that you could use. I wish we could have stayed even longer!!! It was the perfect weekend getaway! With the restaurant so close, we never even had to leave the property once! The wine and craft beer choices were out of this world. We will be back really soon!

Quiet weekend

Great, small cabin that was perfect for the two of us. The view was not the best but a short 25-50 yard walk got me to a great view. I would have thought there would be more

View was horrible. We were 12ft from the storage building of an outdoor venue. Disappointing view. No one advised the bridge was out and we had to backtrack and take a detour. Space was SMALL. Don’t plan on going back.

River Cabin

Excellent location with the river and ponds to fish and Elkin not far away. The onsite wine bar and restaurant were both fantastic. We have stayed on the property before and will be back again.

Secluded cabin

The area was very relaxing and had lots of privacy! Stone Mountain was very close so it was great to go there and then not have to drive so far back to the cabin. Cozy place, loved it.

Peace and quiet

Wonderful property. We were looking for a peaceful, quiet and serene weekend. That's exactly what we got. Every morning, with a cup of coffee, we would seat on the porch and end up watching the trout in the river under the covered meeting area. At night, we would enjoy the silence of the night with the sound of the river .. so relaxing.We signed up for the Cloud Wine VIP membership, because we enjoyed the property so much.We highly recommend you stay at this property or one of the other lodging options on the premises.Almost forgot, the wine and food are incredibly tasty.

Serendipity Cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The location along the river is idyllic, and the cabin is very private. Even though the cabin is a studio, the kitchen is well stocked and has everything you might need. We appreciated the proximity to Stone Mountain State Park where we hiked and fished. Sampling the vineyard's wines on the riverfront deck was very enjoyable.

Short title.

Great location for exploring Stone Mountain State Park, Elkins and environs. I have utilized this particular unit about 6 times ans always want to come back for more. Great hosts, location and atmosphere.

Third time is a charm.

This is the second time we have stayed at Serendipity and third time on the property. Wonderful as always. Hosts are very accomodating which is why we keep coming back. You will not be disappointed. Kitchen had everything we needed for a home cooked meal.
