"This was a pleasant cottage with parking in front. It was nicely decorated and beds were very comfortable.It was five minutes from a co-op food shop which opens seven days a week 7 am to 10 pm. Almost opposite the bus station and a two minute walk to the ferry. Bike hire is available in Stromness. And we had a great day taking the ferry over to hoy, cycling to Rackwick Bay and walking to see the old man of hoy sea stack. The cottage includes a small washing machine which we did use (only...

"Amazing location! Worth the journey time to arrive in this idyllic island. I would have extended the trip if cottage had been available. Seals, swans, owl, skuas, otters, terns all around. The colour of the sea is stunning! We arrived in a thick fog. Had a few wrong turns to get to cottage and the yellow door isn't visible from the road! So drove passed.
