Three Sisters Trailhead

OK, this is a very small place, right off the main highway, but finding it was a bit of a challenge because of its size. It's on the end of a small strip center with 3 or 4 other businesses and offices. Then, when you get to the front door, you'll probably find it locked with a sign that gives you a phone number. The manager doesn't maintain a front desk. Rather, she checks you in by phone and texts the instructions. It's unique, but it worked well. The key to the room? a code that she inputs and sends with very clear, detailed instructions. She did text a couple of times, making sure everything was OK, so in reality, we had no quarrel with the method once we figured it out. The electronic key worked very well. The room was good--large, well-maintained, with parking right beside the door. There obviously wasn't a breakfast, but that seems to be the rule rather than the exception on the Kenai Peninsula. Would we stay there again? Yes with no concerns at all. Just be forewarned about the odd check-in. It's a great little motel.

Super clean, appeared to be newer construction, well decorated, comfy beds with good bedding. More spacious than a typical hotel room and true queen beds. My expectation was hotel with a front desk, but more of a VRBO feel. Call to check in and get the lock box code to get your key...super simple and the folks on the phone were kind and helpful...made staying an extra night a no brainer. Thanks, James

Our stay was excellent. Joy and Tom were fantastic. They welcomed us and treated us as family. Joy reached out to me before our scheduled stay to keep me up to date and what to expect. She texed me when the cabin was ready and how to access the cabin and were to park. After we arrived and got settled in was out on the porch when Joy and Tom stopped by and introduced themselves. They let us know about the property and how to access the river. Tom and his dad even came down to check on us when we went fishing. Offered some great advice and helpful pointers. The cabin and property were clean and had some beautiful views. Anything we needed they were there to help. They have large freezers to store our fish we caught and helped with fish boxes to get them home. We had a great time there that we already booked for next year. Thank you Joy amd Tom for helping make our trip to Alaska great.
