5. Litchfield Beach

Sophisticated golf courses, quaint boutiques and fine-dining restaurants are among the upscale offerings at Litchfield Beach. This is one of the oldest oceanfront communities in the area and one of the quieter alternatives to the touristed hot spot of Myrtle Beach, which is a 30-minute drive north.
