When you're at Pacheedaht Campground in Port Renfrew, try to get side #1,2, or 3 (if you're tent camping). They are right on the San Juan River and protected from the wind.
Around 5pm the fog rolls into Port Renfrew. Pacheedaht Campground is in the "fog zone" so we were able to have campfires while the rest of the province couldn't.
