Tucked away in the village of Doi Saket (on the outskirts of Chiang Mai) is a quaint cafe where you can order a fresh fruit smoothie, indulge in a decent brownie or purchase handmade goods.
Sitting at Yellow House, I saw a family of ducks stroll by. Down the road I spotted this beautiful dragonfly. Doi Saket is off the beaten path, but Yellow House is worth the visit.

People ask me how the food is at the WLYA ashram. "But it's all vegan. is it any good" My answer? YES. It's freaking delicious, and I would know. I was meat eater before arriving to the ashram.
Teachers Daniel and Jeenal and their wonderful Thai staff grow most of the food on site in their organic garden. I looked forward to each meal during the month-long yoga teacher training program. The daily tropical fruit spread was incredible. For anyone on the fence about WLYA and their program, do it! You won't regret. Your time there will change your life. And you'll get to eat some delicious meals too!
