Dalvik is a great little fishing village 30 minutes outside of Akureyri. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and even though we only saw one dolphin we had a great time. Going during the winter is a bit rough, be sure to bring lots of layers and hand warmers/feet warmers are a great idea! They gave us coveralls to wear which were extremely helpful and near the end we got hot chocolate and cookies. The last 20 minutes he let us fish and we caught 2 cod, which he grilled up for us back at the harbor. It was delicious!! The sights and views were amazing from within the fjord and I look forward to posting the pictures from my camera once I get back to the states!
