About this space
Casa Juliana is located in the Pumpo Monterrico village, just 10 minutes from the center of Monterrico and 150 meters from the beach (3 minutes walking). An environment where you can relax, create memories, and enjoy the delicious tropical climate that the Pacific beaches offer. While you enjoy a refreshing drink, you feel the volcanic sand on your feet, the wind together with the sea breeze refresh you and fill you with peace!
The space
Thank you for considering us as an option for your stay on the beach.
We would like you to know that we have capacity for 14 people in bed and a pen with a changing table for babies or children under 4 years of age.
• We offer an inflatable mattress for two additional people.
The 3 rooms have a private full bathroom and air conditioning with remote control so you can adjust the temperature.
• room # 1, with 2 bunk beds of 3 levels, two twin levels and one full bed level.
• Rooms #2 and #3 with 1 queen bed and one twin each.
The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with 2 vertical doors and a freezer in the lower part, a stove with an oven and 6 functional gas burners with electric ignition. For your safety the gas is in a secured area outside the house with a direct connection to the stove. We also have a microwave, coffee maker, blender, waffle maker and the necessary utensils for cooking and serving (pots, plates, cleaners, glasses, cups, cutlery, pans, kitchen knives, chopping boards, etc.)
Large dining room with fruit bowls and individual placemats for each person (we ask not to put hot pots or pans directly on the table, we have corks for hot containers)
Our grill for a good barbecue is located next to the pool (charcoal is not included)
The pool is freshwater and has a shower on the outside where we ask you to please shower before entering it. The pool has various heights, the deepest being 1.50 meters and the lowest being 30 cm in case you bring little ones, so they can also enjoy. Eating inside the pool is prohibited as the filters may absorb any remains and this could damage the filter system.
Consider that the pool, because it is freshwater, has strict maintenance, so every day from 4 am to 7 am our staff will be entering through the back door to give it the necessary maintenance. We ask that you do not use it during this time for your safety.
We are Pet friendly; however this has a charge of $15 and you must take care of picking up after your pet.
Smoking is completely prohibited inside the house, rooms and bathrooms. You can do so outside without leaving your butts lying around, remember that you are in a clean and fresh environment, so we ask you to help us to keep it that way.
Alcoholic beverages are allowed as long as your actions do not compromise the safety of others and our facilities, remember that you must collect your glasses, cans and/or bottles.
Loud music is allowed until 12 am, after that time we ask you to moderate it out of respect for the local habitants.
We have a closed circuit of cameras in the common areas for your safety.
Dishwashing and cleaning during your stay is your responsibility, we recommend you not to leave leftovers in the refrigerator as this has a penalty of $50
PESTS: keep in mind that we are located on an island-type beach surrounded by mangroves, so the weather is humid tropical, therefore you will see ants and other bugs. We recommend the use of extra repellent between 4-6 pm since these are the hours in which mosquitoes’ activity is at its highest.
Our staff (Carlos and Doña Angelica) are very friendly and will be willing to help you with whatever you need. We ask you to be respectful of them and feel free to write to us at any time.
Guest access
Guest have access to all rooms and amenities, with the exception of the terrace since this is still under construction, and it’s not safe to be there (door remains locked)
Other things to note
To offer you some piece of mind, we also provide baby appropriate bedding, for families with young babies. (This is only for one baby at a time)
Hand towels are provided only (no other towels)
One roll of toilet paper provided per bathroom, bring extra if needed.
