The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was impeccably clean and well-furnished, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Both the room and bathroom were spotless, making my stay exceptionally pleasant. Kudos to Hotel Zar Coatzacoalcos! I will undoubtedly book again for future trips and look forward to staying at other El Zar hotel locations across the country. "

"This is a low rent hotel in an off-the-beaten-track area so high expectations are not appropriate. But it is not unreasonable to expect at least plastic glasses and a bath mat for the slick floor. Everything, however, is tolerable but the bed. Worst bed I've ever encountered in a lot of traveling. Very hard to sleep on it. Hotel staff tried to accommodate. Moved us to another room and even helped move our stuff, which was sweet. The beds in the new room were better but still bad. "

"Absolutely loved staying here! The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, and the location couldn’t be better—right off the Malecón and walking trails along the Laguna. I enjoyed their garden. It can be a tad noisy with traffic at night because it’s right off the Main Street. "

"Coatzacoalcos has very little tourism compared to other seaside hotspots in Mexico. So coming to Fiesta Inn, it is good to note that the hotel is a perfect location for anyone who happens to be visiting. If you are a foreigner and do not know the area too well and want a landing spot in safe, modern, comfortable hotel- this is your spot. I love this hotel when I visit. I often see international business associates who are brought to town because of work in the city’s offshore oil drilling. As well as Mexican travelers who are in town and looking for a comfortable place to stay. And so the hotel gives a high quality, comfortable vibe. I personal love the view of the ocean being it’s located on the oceanfront. And a higher floor offers a picturesque sunrise over the ocean. The rooms are always clean and air-conditioned to a comfortable climate. Location is also very good for exploring Coatzacoalcos. A 5 minute taxi or uber ride is all it takes to the local mall which has many stores and restaurants. Also the main road is a walkable ocean front who want see the town’s seaside sites and restaurants. A fresh seafood buffet is only a few blocks down from the hotel. For precaution, go with a group and never alone. Overall, I feel very safe and comfortable in the hotel. I’m fortunate I have family local to the city with me- so I know where to go and how to behave when I visit. But if you don’t have locals to rely on, the staff is exceptional and can help your journey."
