"An unbelievable stay with picturesque views and natural beauty. We could hardly believe our eyes that we were staying in the middle of somewhere so stunning! All the amenities you could need in the cabin, very clean and check in was easy and stress free. Great communication from host too. "It was hard to find at first, but thankfully we found someone who was very helpful and kind. The main complaints were that the cabin was not 100% done being built. For example there were outlet covers missing and no railing on the staircase. Another issue is that the bathroom will have water/mold issues in the future as there is no shower curtain or exhaust fan so the bathroom got musty even by the end of our three nights."

"When we arrived all the windows were open, and there was no heat and the outsode (and consequently inside temp) was around 43°f. No toilet paper, no towels. The owner had left a portable radiator outside the apartment but had not warmed up the aprtment. Radiator had little affect on warming the room. Finally got someone to bring us towels and toilet paper and an extra blanket. He also kindly brought us a space heater. By morning the room had finally warmed up. Not a good experience at...

River Bridge Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely rooms - really clean and the interior and decor was perfect and modern, loved the finished in the bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly. However, definitely book in advance for dinner in the evenings as it gets very busy (for a good reason as the food was nice!). We did not book and whilst they kindly fit us in, it was a very long wait for food and drinks. Waiting staff were absolutely lovely but it does take a long time to get served at times, even during the day when it was quieter. Food was tasty though, authentic mountain Montegren options and the breakfast was outstanding, great range. Staff were very accommodating when we had food poisoning and had to stay an extra night, they were really excellent and understanding when we explained our circumstances and just wanted some simple food to order to the room - they were quick with that request. Location wise, it’s only 20 minute walk to Zagreb but it is on quite a busy road so views weren’t as gorgeous as other hotels but still only 20 minutes drive from Durmitor national Park and Blake Lake."

"We had high expectations (having read other reviews) and weren’t disappointed. It was a warm and welcoming hotel with very friendly staff who were keen to help and very smiley! Our apartment was huge and more than adequate for the 5 of us. We enjoyed use of the sauna several times during our stay and really liked the fresh ingredients at breakfast. Being in a country where we don’t speak the language it was great that the staff had an adequate grasp of English to answer our queries."
