"The entire place was a joke. The room we had; you could feel a dirty environment. The walls were patched with different paint colors, the furniture (a chair and table) was from the 70's. The"staff" was a box with your name on an envelope. The place was an old run down Econo lodge with old peeling brown paint and junk laying...

"The hotel is older but kept in great condition. The property is surrounded by grassy areas to walk your dogs. The breakfast was delicious and there was an open patio area where you can sit outside with your dog. The reason I took away one star was because as soon as we walked in the room, there was a strong smell of dog pee. I called the front desk to notify them (get it on record) so we don’t get blamed for causing the odor. Jerome was very understanding and offered to move us to another room but we had already unpacked so I thanked him for the offer but declined."

"This is a great place to stay in Taos. The staff is nice and there is live music every night. The bar needs more wait staff. Getting into parking can be tricky coming from the Pueblo side of town so I suggest going right on Civic Plaza Road, left on Camino de la Placita, then you can go left on Paseo del Pueblo Sur so you can turn right into the little alley back to the parking lot. This keeps you from having to try to cross traffic over the double yellow line and it’s often congested through that part of town."

"Cory’s service was exceptional! We didn’t know what to expect from our visit as it was our first time staying at Hacienda del Sol. Upon seeing that my partner, who is 6’5”, had a bit of difficulty navigating the original room that we booked due to his height, he upgraded us to a room that better suited our needs. The complimentary breakfast each morning was another unexpected surprise. Cory went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we needed during our stay, and provided valuable insight on different sights and activities for us to participate in and around Taos. We’ll definitely be back, thanks to Cory."

"The property was beautiful. The room was very nice but it was dark and the air-conditioning was extremely noisy. The room layout was difficult for my 90 year old mom as there were a couple stairs right after you opened the door and a step going up to the living area and another step going up to the shower.
