"The hotel is absolutely lovely albeit a little bit dated. Rooms were very clean. I was surprised that my (expensive) booking didn't include breakfast but it didn't bother me. The Gulangyu View Room had a spectacular view. Service at the hotel was lovely although they seem to want to charge for everything. ..."

"I needed a room and free airport transfers for an overnight layover. This did not end up being ideal for that situation but might be good for a longer stay as long as you confirm the airport transfer well in advance.
