「It was consistent with expectation and you get what you pay for. Which wasn't a lot. It served its purpose as an overnight stop-over before an early flight. Easy parking, convenient for LBA. Food awful. Bed was comfortable, room was clean but dark, shabby and rather depressing. Best bit - escaping into early morning sunshine.」

「We stayed at this property in May 2026. While the staff were extremely kind and helpful, the air conditioner in our room was not working and they refused to change our room since they were all booked and declined a refund/compensation too. When you pay £137 a night the least you expect is for the air conditioner to work especially when it’s been a hot day and you’re on the top floor of the hotel. Pretty poor for a ‘Marriott’ hotel. Avoid at all costs.」

「The woman on reception was amazing. She made sure check in was smooth and efficient and pointed out the issues with the marathon on the Sunday (we knew about it as we were participating). She was fantastic 」

「An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price.」

「Just felt like they were trying to screw every penny out of me from the extortionate parking price for overnight parking to paying for water in my room. The woman in the restaurant at night wouldn't know customer service if it slapped her in the face.vote with feet won't stay again !」

「I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel. The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover. However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening.」
