Cute and homey stay

Cute boutique hotel with helpful staff. We loved the location which was close to our favorite beach at Ortigia. It is not easy to reach the hotel by car and park but staff was super helpful to help us navigate. Rooms are very spacious for european standards. Sea view terrace or run would be nice to have.

Great location and decor but molded breakfast

We stayed at the Re Frederico hotel for 2 night. The decor and the location were superb, the staff was helpful. Our disappointment was breakfast where we were served a fruit cake with mold all over it and also, molded peaches with fruit flies (see attached images). Some guests did have a piece or even a few. Hopefully not the kids that were staying at the hotel - nothing is worse than getting food poisoning when you travel. I brought it up to the staff attention and they seamed to be shocked by seeing all that. Not sure who were setting the breakfast station then... We lost trust to their kitchen after that. Also, the WiFi only worked on the first floor or the rooftop terrace. Unfortunately, our room was on the second floor and for two days we didn’t have the Internet.

Great!! We stayed in the Duluxe suite w/ queen bed for our honeymoon. Staff very welcoming. Room perfectly clean and modern, spacious. Excellent location. Concetta would greet us every morning with a nice choice of amazing homemade pastries for the breakfast. Would definitely recommend :).

Ein wunderschönes Hotel im Herzen der Altstadt von Syrakus. Das Zimmer ist groß und komfortabel, es gibt auch eine kleine Küche. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, leider kam es in der ersten Nacht zu einem furchtbaren Sturm und Strom und Wasser fielen aus, weshalb wir die Unterkunft wechseln mussten. Der sehr freundliche Hotelbesitzer hat uns bestens geholfen! Danke!

If I could give this place 6 out of 5 stars - I would. The location is great, just a little bit away from action but a 2 minute walk to most everything, the beds and pillows are comfy, rain shower that was actually hot/warm, very clean space and cute room. The little cafe has coffee and homemade pastries for breakfast which are great. The staff went above and beyond to help with any little thing I needed or asked. After two weeks traveling around Sicily this felt the first home away from home. 120% recommend booking here

perfect location but needs more personal touch!

The small hotel is situated in a superb location, close to everything! The beach is 2 min walk, old town rsstaurants snd shops cafes 2-3 min walk also. Hotel was clean and the room spacios. A little offputting was the decor of the room, many things from ikea, very simple and a little bit cheap. Did not match to the wonderful house, felt that the ancient ambience deserved little more. Breakfast could have been better as well. Not very good quality food, very basic even when they have so good bakeries and fresh food stalls basically around the corner. After having breakfast first morning there we decided to have our brekfasts next days in nice cafes and in the market-which is well worrh the visit! Little more touch to details and soul and this place could be wonderful!

Welcoming elegant and comfortable boutique hotel

A quiet location in this beautiful city just a few minutes walk from sights and places to eat. Charming and helpful staff and spacious, light and elegantly furnished bedrooms. There is a lovely little bar downstairs serving tradition sweet breakfast (would benefit from adding wholemeal breads option) and a great roof terrace that needs a sun shade. It's newly opened and rooms yet to have phone installed. Will return.
