"Pretty good room. Wish they had a microwave."

"Picture it. Jackson, Mississippi. 2026. 4:00 in the morning just getting off the road from St. Louis. We check in at the hotel after getting confirmation several times that the arrival time wouldn't matter, get the key, go up the elevator and get ready to open the door because we think we're about to go to sleep for a few hours before we have to get dressed to go to a graduation. We use the key the lady at the front desk gave us, opened the door and at first it looks uncleaned like someone left their stuff in the room and the staff didn't do anything but as we're standing in the entry way, we we hear someone with a froggy voice say, “Who is this? What are you doing?!” We look at each other, close the door, and the person comes to the door. We apologize and tell them that the front desk lady gave us a key to that room. We get back on the elevator and head to the front desk. The girl says she doesn’t know why someone was in the room and that she can’t get a manager. Instead of apoloogizing, she then proceeds to call the people in the room to ask when they got there. We tell her to hang up because that doesn’t matter, we walked into a room with people in it and that could have gone sideways. She says there is a room with no TV we could use and suddenly remembers that is why she gave away our room to the people she called to ask why they were in there. Still no apology. We ask to speak with a manager. She said they're not available. The Colonel and The Educator, my aunt and husb"

"Good hotel"

"Our room 214 smelled like a skunk. I called the front desk and he asked if we wanted an air freshener, but never brought it. The tub was dirty and the desk chair was terrible. There was very little pleather left on it. Then there was dried puke beside the bed. The guy at the front desk said I could come get a mop. I said he or housekeeping needed to come clean it up. He said he wasn’t going to do it. I asked for another room. We moved to 217 and the tub was dirty and stained. Even the outside of the tub was dirty and a ring in the toilet. When we left this morning we realized what the skunk smell was. It was skunk weed and very strong. I would never recommend his place to stay and needs new management and employees. "

"Loved the size of the room, large refrigerator and microwave. We unfortunately weren't able to use the microwave. It would be on for 3-5 seconds and blow a breaker every single time. This caused the lights to flicker so we gave up. If they can get that fixed, it would be great"

"The service as far as asking questions, they didn't want to be bothered since we reserved under a third party. The bed in the room was as hard as a rock. The noise level was horrible. People above were loud and obnoxious. Was not real happy and didn't get much rest while traveling out the next morning. Was not a pleasant stay."

"When I arrived the black out shade in my room was down, completely on the floor. I spoke with 3 different people on 4 different occasions and the issue was never rectified. I enjoy sleeping in when I'm on vacation and was unable to because of this maintenance issue. At the end of my stay there was still no attempt to compensate me for the inconvenience."

"I never eat hotel breakfasts, but it smelled good. The rooms inside condition was wonderful and freshly updated. The halls could use some updating. Needs new carpet and walls and doors painted. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking area is fenced and gated for security which is a plus. Price was good and location to Jackson State was a plus. "
