Great place to stay

Comfortable, warm, clean, prompt to answer replies. Close to town center and park/playground next door. Need to make it clear that there is no internet.

I am sorry that you found a problem with the TV, we did check this and found it to be working OK, maybe you can let us know a little more detail what was the issue and we can check that as well, glad you seemed to enjoy your overall stay.,

Family holiday at Blue Mountains

We stayed at Appleblossom. There is no wifi and laundry facilities in the house. The house comes with 1 ensuite bathroom and a common bathroom for 2 bedrooms.

I am sorry that you were disappointed that there was no Wifi or laundry, can I please check did you see this advertised anywhere as we certainly don’t promote it on our website that these are features. Very clean property, plenty of towels and genuinely very comfortable. The electric blanket didn’t work in the master bedroom and this was disappointing as it was an extremely cold weekend. In the second bedroom the window didn’t have a lock on it so I worried about my children sleeping in there all night. Great communication with the owners and very clean as I said above👏

Leura - Blue Mountains - Springtime

Our accommodation was changed from Whispering Pines Wellington Falls to Leura without any prior discussion. However the allotted cottage actually exceeded our expectations, close to Leura town centre, well equipped kitchen,extremely clean, multiple forms of digital entertainment and with gas heating throughout and a wood heater if desired

Sorry for the confusion over the address, there is no accommodation at the address listed on Wotif, this is our main house where guests can collect keys and information so it was never an move of cottage, the Mall cottage was originally booked which again so glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully see you again soon.

Relax in comfort and beauty

We had the most beautiful time at this place, surrounded by nature, comfort, a fireplace, BBQ and only nature sounds all the time. Thanks for having us there, everything worked perfectly and we are coming back soon again!

selfcontained cottage in serene setting

Stayed at Defenella Lodge for 3 nights. Located beautifully in serene surroundings and private, but easy to drive to many Blue Mountain Highlights. Very clean and comfortable, had all amenities to make a perfect stay. On my definetely to book again list in the future.

Very comfortable walking distance to major tracts

Cottage is very cosy warm with heating facilities blankets close to major beautiful walking tracts. There are supermarket next town. You need to have a car as public transport is scanty for a small town .very quiet The main building is completely away from my cottages I think Whispering Pine contracts owners of different cottages . He just has the keys

Beautiful place, fantastic location

We checked in at 5pm and they already had the gas fire heater on that heated the whole house - plus an individual heater in the bedrooms. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean, kitchen was complete with everything you could need. The location was impressive. Only a short walk to some of the best hikes in Wentworth Falls. There is a wonderful book in the house that has an index to all the walks in the area which really allows you to make the most of your time. Thanks so much for such a wonderful stay!

Lovely old cottage

The cottage was lovely and clean. The owners had turned the central heating on before we got there, so the place was lovely and cosy. Full sized kitchen with dish washer was a blessing. I'd definitely stay here again. It was close to shops and restaurants as well.

Blue Mountains at your doorstep

Great Location very quiet street. Large house 3 rooms plenty of space. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Short walk to Wentworth Falls. Short drive to Leura and Katoomba. Short stay wish it was longer.

Great for family, and Visiting Blue Mountain

I have spent three days with my family. It was really great time in the house, though the location is far from the airport and sydney CBD. However it is very close - a few minutes - to Three sisters of Blue Mountatin . Also the restaurants near the house are quite good. I strongly recommend the people who are looking for the nice house and planning to visit Blue Mountain. Lastly, I hope to thanks to the host and sorry for the visiting at night.

Cosy Cottage for Three Couples

We stayed as three couples and found the cottage very comfortable. The bedrooms are quite a good size with the main one being very spacious. Beds are all good quality queens and linen is excellent quality. The heating is very good with a cosy gas fireplace. The kitchen has all you need. The BBQ was a bit old and needed a clean but we used it for one meal and it was fine. The deck needs some work especially the two gaps where the boards are missing. We also had trouble with the TV reception with intermittent quality. Overall we really liked the cottage, it's great location near the NP walks and we would definitely stay again.

Whispering Pines - the best

We stayed 3 nights at 1 Somerville Road - lovely house, comfortable, clean and in a great spot. Wentworth Falls at the end of the street.... Warm welcome from the operators who are very knowledgeable about the local area

Easy and nice~

Great place to stay for families and friends. Great facilities and so close to Wentworth Falls. We cooked our own dinner and breakfast, kitchen was fully equipped with BBQ in the back yard. Highly recommended! Will come back again.......

Denfenella Lodge - next to Wentforth Falls

Excellent get away in the Blue Mountains. Short walking distance to Wentworth Falla, Darwin Walk and National Pass walking tracks. The house is well appointed with lots of space - much more than we needed as a couple. Picked up the keys and never needed any additional service from the hotel managers. Loved having a full kitchen and BBQ, but we could walk or drive into town for restaurants too. This lodge is located a couple of blocks away from the main B&B. It is a bit of jaunt over to Katoomba, Scenic World and Three Sisters, so we were very glad to have a car so we could see more. Everything is walkable, but the distances are such that we felt too much time would be spent going back and forth across the top and not enjoying the amazing tracks into the valley.

Cottage to Yourself in Leura

This place is called Cottage on the Mall in Leura(Blue Mountains). We arrived there by train,from Sydney,climbed up the stairs and walked down to the cottage. I made prior arrangements with the owner to have a key waiting at the unit as their office is in another city. Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom with a large well equip kitchen and a living room/dining area. Hotels.com listing stated that there was free Wi-Fi but that was not true as there is no internet or phone service in the cottage. This was a big problem for me as my phone also uses the internet. Cottage was very clean and the queen beds were very comfortable. They don't give you a lot of towels but unit is equipped with a free washer and dryer so that wasn't a problem. It was cold during the night but the central heating kept us snug and warm. It is a uphill walk to town. Bus stop is just outside the door. There is a park next to it and barking dogs were a small problem in the early morning. Also the 2 queen bedrooms faces the street and morning traffic noises is quite loud from 6am. We liked this place very much but would not stay there again because of no internet availability. Also, if you don't have a car and have heavy luggage, take the train to Katoomba where there is an elevator going up to the street level and take a taxi($10) to the cottage. This is easier and less tiring. If you don't need the internet or have your own access then you will enjoy this cottage for the privacy and comfortable living space.

Great Location

Whispering pines cottages is just a few km to the major attractions in Blue Mountain, e.g. Three Sisters, Wentworth Falls etc. The cottage is also near (few hundred meters) to amenities in Luera Mall. The cottage has 3 bedrooms (2 queen size beds and 2 single beds), a kitchen, dining area and a hall. There's centralized heater for the whole cottage and also heater for the bed. The 2 toilets are equipped with heater (spot light) which kept us warm after shower during winter. Highly recommended for family or group of friends.

Lovely, large room

There were only two of us, but we still got a three-bedroom/two-bath house. This was a full-size house, probably 1200+ sq ft. Full washer/dryer available, plus laundry soap, all included. Only downside was no WiFi at the actual house. It was very, very nice and cozy.

Great place but too noisy

We came here for a romantic weekend but weren't advised that our hosts were having a big family weekend here on Saturday night. While our Friday night was lovely, the Saturday evening was just too noisy. We weren't advised in advance and given we were going by what was said on the venue advertisement, were expecting something a lot quieter. Not sure I'd stay here again.

I'm so sorry that you did not thoroughly enjoy your weekend with us. We rarely have family to stay (this was the first time in five years) and it was my father's 89th birthday. - we had a bbq lunch on the Saturday. The only noise that could have disturbed you was some of the guests kicking a football around the crocket lawn between 2pm and 3pm as you were out most of Saturday. I am puzzled that you did not bring up the matter with us when we were talking to you for some time on the Sunday morning - when we could have taken steps to deal with your concerns .- that would have been a more effective way to deal with the matter.

Freedom and comfort

Stayed in the self-catered Apple Blossom Cottage. Sans WI-fi, it had all we needed for a wonderful self-catered visit to the Blue Mountains. WI-Fi was available down the street at the proprietor's B&B. A very friendly and winsome couple run this business with great care.
