The Hive - Yurt on Hobby Farm

Welcome to The Hive! This is the second unit on our hobby farm and a nature lovers paradise :) Gorgeous views and abundant wildlife both day and night. After parking near the main home you will take a very short (under 300ft) walk down the hill to the 24ft yurt. On the walk down stop and say hello to the farm animals. Inside the yurt you will have all the amenities to keep you entertained and cozy. Venture out to hike, kayak, shop, etc or just stay in with a good book ❤️

*The yurt is entirely yours to enjoy. Equipped with a queen size bed as well as a queen size futon you'll have plenty of sleeping room to sprawl out or snuggle up. If extra space is needed we can provide a queen size air mattress as well. The rainfall shower with on demand hot water along with natural lighting feel incredibly luxurious! Sit on the deck and take it the surroundings possibly catching a glimpse of the deer residents or dozens of wild turkeys. Go out and explore on a sunny day or cozy up with a good book on a rainy afternoon. Ductless mini split heating/cooling system will keep you comfortable year round.

*Guests are welcome to wander the property and say hi to the animals. If you would like to feed them let us know we are happy to provide feed. You can also give them safe snacks :) if you aren't sure what they can have just ask.

Wonderful Stay

This property is wonderful! So nice and clean! Everything you could possibly want in a yurt! It was absolutely beautiful and the animals are so much fun. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location for a relaxing night under the stars.

Great property, friendly hosts, loved the goats and other animals. The squeeze between the fence and the tree entering the property was a little sketchy, glad we had a rental.

Perfect Hideaway

We loved staying on the property and in the yurt! Very clean and perfectly decorated for the experience. Equipped with everything needed for a “glamping” stay. Owners were very communicative and made check in and check out easy. Looking forward to staying at the Hive again!

We had the absolute best time staying here. Thank you so much for renting us your glorious yurt. Everything was clean, well stocked and just perfect. We loved “talking” with your goats, seeing the chickens and walking along with your friendly and curious llama (alpaca perhaps?)

50th anniversary in a little piece of Heaven

One of our favorite places we have ever stayed. You could feel the love that was put into this yurt. During the night we woke up to sparkles of moon beams coming in the skylight above. What a special place to get close to your spouse, nature and God.

Great place for a getaway to relax. We were visited by the farm animals. Watching the kids (baby goats) run and play in the yard was great. And location was easy to find only 5-10 minutes from town. Highly recommend taking a small vehicle we have a basic 2016 ram 1500 and just bearly made it through the gate, with mirrors folded in just a few inches to squeeze through the tree and fence just before the gate.

Much needed Getaway from flood inNC

Where to begin...the property was beautiful. The kids loved the animals! It was hard for them to just look at the beautiful animals. Our Tahoe couldn't fit through the gate and the owners and their neighbors were nice about letting us use their driveway. We plan on returning in November.

Perfect if you like camping on a farm.

Perfect get away for 3 or 4. My 2 boys and I had such a good time hanging out and just enjoying time together. It's very quiet, just big enough for us. The Internet/signal is spotty but it makes for disconnecting. We made puzzles and played uno instead of trying to watch TV. The animals are nice to see and pet and if you get to feed them that's a treat too.

Perfect. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Our stay at The Hive was perfect! It was easy to find with the provided directions even in the dark. Though unlocking the gate and walking down to the yurt in the dark and hearing "moo's" behind us was slightly intimidating. (Only if you've ever had cows chase you before probably) The yurt was warm and welcoming, it was clean and everything was just as pictured. We couldn't have asked for more. The goats greeted us as we unloaded our truck so it was nice to have our own welcoming party. The next morning the kids were excited that the gates to the animals were open and they got to see the chickens and ducks more closely. Had it not been raining, I'm sure the goats would have been more social too. The kids just wanted to stay longer! It was a peaceful, quiet, place to stay during our trip of busy city happenings. Thank you for sharing it with us!

The Yurt is sooo cute! My teenage daughter and I stayed for an extended weekend. Check in was very simple. Upon arrival we were greeted by some of the farm friends. The Yurt is cozy, clean and stocked with everything you needed. I highly recommend and absolutely plan on visiting again. Thank you for such a memorable visit to Tennessee.
