Lovely room, bed and and pillows very comfortable. Nice bathroom, all we needed. Host very friendly, had nice meal at Valley pub, but expensive.
Lovely cottage rooms with all you need, Jackie is a great host and very welcoming. The cottage is 2 doors away from a good pub and the food was reasonably priced and delicious, The Joiners Arms. Theres another pub about 25 metres away called The Valley Hotel, which looks good but we never tried it.
We really enjoyed our time. Familiar, welcoming, very well-kept and clean environment. We also enjoyed the excellent and varied breakfast, congratulations!
It is a nice, cosy little room, very well-presented, clean and tidy; the hosts are adorable, friendly and helpful.
I would stay again.
Highly recommended!!
Jackie was the perfect host…. Friendly and welcoming.
Great value for money, excellent room and facilities.
Fab location and a choice of pubs and restaurants for dining.
Five stars all round👏
The owner are very friendly welcoming and the accommodation is very clean just i am in my own house. Quiet environment and very safe indeed. Meet all my expectations and surely recommend for a good 👍 stay over.
Jackie and Russell were really friendly and welcoming and the room was lovely. Very comfortable bed and very nice to have the ensuite!
Myrtle Cottage is in the heart of Bishopston and literally next door to a couple of pubs so great options for food and a beer! Easy driving to all the best parts of the beautiful Gower from this location.
Thank you for a lovely stay!
Hosts were excellent and helpful, check in easy, parking good. Room was well appointed and enough space. Short walk to two pubs which served meals. No outside area to sit. Central to Gower peninsula attractions.
Highly recommend for short stays
The owners of the property are very welcoming and there home is very clean. The room had its own keys and was maintained very well. I slept with no issues and would highly recommend
a glitch with the owner trying to cancel my booking even though I would have lost my payment in advance- apart from this very comfortable and welcoming on the day
Lovely stay in Bishopston. Comfortable, very clean, welcoming and well situated for exploring the Gower Peninsula. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and hard working offering good advice on where to eat and visit in the area. They also very kindly supplied me with fresh milk twice a day for tea and even recommended a local garage to take my car to who looked at it free of charge. A really nice trip to the Gower
The accommodation exceeded expectations. We liked its location next to a very friendly pub and not having to use the car, being able to walk to the coastal footpaths. We also appreciated Jackie's care and attention to detail; everything we needed - and more - was provided. We've stayed on the Gower many times and this was one of the best!
The hosts Jackie and Russell were adorable, and nothing was too much to ask.
The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable, tea and coffee and a kettle in the room.
There's two pubs very close by the property, good for food and drinks and socialising.
A bus can take you straight into Swansea in about 45 minutes, and it not too far from the beach.
We Hope to come again when the weather is warmer.
Beautiful country cottage, thank you Jackie and Russell for having us stay at your home.
Dear Jackie, Russell, Thank you for welcoming us into your home and making us welcome. A comfortable and soft bed in a beautifully decorated bedroom was great. Waking up to birds and rain in the morning, I found it peaceful, soothing, and relaxing. Thank you.
A clean bathroom facility with a view to the back garden is respected and appreciated. Car parking facility, thank you for letting me park in your driveway. I am grateful for your friendly, kind, and welcoming openness to allow us to enjoy our stay with you and cherish the local nature, sea and walks to three cliffs. Thank you
Jackie is a wonderful host. Friendly helpful and warm. The room was very pleasant and clean. Tea and coffee making available. A mini fridge would be useful to keep water and milk cool. Bishopston is a great base for a solo traveller. A Co op is nearby and the local pub is a few doors down for food and drinks. I found people to be friendly and helpful. The pub is just a few doors away and closes at 11pm. I stayed during a hot spell of sunny weather which meant the outside was busy. But it quietened down soon enough after closing. This may be a consideration for those who like an early night and are light sleepers. Overall I was very happy with my stay.

Check in was easy, greeted by the host who showed me to the room. On the listing it stated a TV, with netflix, but there was no TV.
The room, however, like the entire home, was immaculate and the room cleaned even though I was only there two nights.
The listing doesn't clearly state it's a shared bathroom, this wasn't an issue for me as there didn't seem to be any other guests.
The shower needs maintenance as to reach any usable temperature to shower, you have to play with the dials like some sort of safecracker. It took me about 10 minutes switching between boiling hot and cold to get a good temperature.
There are two pubs next door. The noise is crazy on a sunny weekend, bring some earplugs.
You are basically staying in someone's cosy home, arrived back on Sunday to the host cooking Sunday lunch and greeted by a dog who ran up to me barking and howling, harmless enough, but they would bark at any hour when someone came in, there is no mention of dogs present, unfortunately I have an allergy to some dog hair types and this could be an issue for some other guests if they are unaware or nervous around dogs.
I just feel the listing needs a lot of updating and more clarity about what's on offer. I have three airbnb properties and update weekly.
Thank you to the hosts for having me.
I had a lovely stay. The room was clean, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Though there were 2 pubs less than 100 yards away, it was very quiet. Both pubs also served great food, which was very convenient after a day of sightseeing.
I recommend this place, the owners and the service are very nice, great facility, very clean, delicious breakfast, everything fresh, peace, quiet, I will choose to stay in this area again😉
