Home away from home!
We really enjoyed our stay - the house had all the amenities that we needed, most holiday homes are lacking in this aspect but this home had the lot - cooking anmenities, cooking oil, salt, pepper, teabags, tissues, paper towel and even a first aid kit! Lots of toys to keep the little ones occupied. Feels quiet and private as it’s off the main road but only 4 mins drive to Smiths Beach where we spent most of our time. Will certainly be back!

Great little house
Lovely house close to the beach, with everything you could need. The main town was a short drive away. Our family really enjoyed our stay.

Generally the property was good with location. Disappointing factors were the cooking appliance stove top smoked, the bbq wasn’t clean. There was also a big bee hive at the front steps.

Lovely cosy, well-appointed and super-clean cottage only minutes from Smiths Beach, the koalas, Amaze 'n' Things and the penguins. Excellent value for money and would be great for families with young kids - lots of toys and a swing set provided. There are also board games and some DVDs if the weather is uncooperative. Everything you need in the kitchen if you want to self-cater, and only a short drive to the shops for extra supplies or take away. Just be aware the roads are unsealed gravel around this area once you get off the main highway.

Our trip at Sunset Strip was amazing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Sunset Strip. Felt like home away from home with all of the necessities you should need. Setup was superb, comfortable and relaxing. Our little children loved it too.

My daughter & I loved our little getaway to Sunset Strip. Great holiday house. Cleaning & tidy. Comfy beds. 10 minutes from Cowes town centre. The host, Cathy, was great with communication. We would definitely stay there again :)

Fantastic location and communication
Lovely place to stay for a beach getaway and comfortable. Check in was a little later than we would like and needed better dishwater but overall very happy with the great memories we made here

Thanks for reviewing our property Paula, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Apologies that on this occasion we were unable to offer an earlier check in time, usually we try our best to accommodate any early check in requests, however due to guests departing the same morning that your stay began, we wanted to ensure that the property was properly prepared for your stay. I will look into the dishwasher, the dishwasher was new 6 months ago so haven't previously come across any issues with it. Thanks again for choosing our holiday home for your holiday.

Amazing holiday house
We stayed at this property at the end of December 2021. It is very clean house with amazing location, very close to Smith Beach. The house is quite big with great backyard. There is very nice living room with big dining area and great kitchen. The house is perfect for family. We will be definitely back!

This home was the perfect little quiet getaway. Everything was there that we required & it was very cosy and comfortable. Would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

Cannot recommend this property more. Was located close enough to all essential stores and areas but was secluded enough to allow for a quiet nights sleep. Will definitely be returning in the future!

House in Sunset Strip was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. The location was good with easy driving access to the sights on Phillip Island.

Lovely space for the family
The property is lovely and has a homely and beachy feel to it with it’s pale grey and blue colour palette, and lovely wall art. It was very clean and spacious. The bathroom had ample supply of toiletries. The kitchen was fully equipped and more, I have never been to a place that stocked so many various items of crockery and cutlery, cups and glasses and included kiddy friendly ones. The pantry was well stocked with basic supplies including olive oil, cooking oil ,salt, pepper, sauces, flour, pasta! We needn’t have brought our own! The kids didn’t look at their iPad once as they were entertained by books, toys, dvds in their own room, and plenty of space to explore around the outside including a lovely spot on the front verandah to enjoy my glass of wine. Smiths beach is a lovely swimming and surf beach and a short drive away. Everything /operating appliances/aircon etc is clearly explained in the manual, but should you require assistance or attention, Cathy is a wonderful host and responds quickly to all messages. Thankyou Cathy for sharing your beautiful home with us, our family loved our stay!

We enjoyed our long weekend at the house, nice quiet location and quick drive to beaches, central island location. We also loved the toys at the house that kept our 2yo Daughter very happy in between hikes and beach visits

Would revisit! Highly recommend.
Property is in a great location close to everything you may want or need, only a short drive to Cowes. The house itself was small and cosy but overall exceeded our expectations. Very clean and had many useful items all for housekeeping, entertainment and cooking. Would definitely go back.

Sunset Strip house
This house is clean comfortable and reasonably Quiet, Located between the two main arterial roads leading to cowes and to the Philip Island Track, It is closer to the track than cowes by 3 klms however it is central for all entertainment on the island.

Clean and pleasant.
The house, bathroom, bed linen were all very clean and beds very comfortable. property access details were detailed and accurate. Everything went well. the house is on a rise and in a pleasant area. Friendly neighbours, lots of trees and birds. Sunset looked wonderful from the house. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

Perfect for a couple
For us the property was perfect (a couple - ideal)To be childproof (for toddlers) the fencing would need to be secure. Perhaps som3 future work on the backyard in terms of some tree planting would be a useful owner project Property was situated in a good zone accessible to all parts of the island by car and a not so far walk to Smiths beach.. The property was clean and suitably fitted out. We liked the range of “leftover supplies”. Instructions left re appliances and systems were good though being* experienced Island users we felt the use o& the degradable green compact bags did need to be explained. We would happily for another relaxing week.

Thanks Tony for taking the time to review our property, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We also appreciate the suggestions on how we can further improve our property. After purchasing the property just over 12 months ago our time has been spent on updating and improving the inside of the house. Our focus is now shifting to the exterior, with works already booked to add a paved area for an outdoor setting at the back of the property. With a 4 year old child ourselves, adding fencing to further secure the property is also on our projects list. We would welcome any future bookings from yourself.

We were staying for 4 nights with parent from the uk and kids in tow. What a lovely presented place we stayed at. Just perfect with attention to detail. Work trip
It would have been a great place to holiday but work got in the way . Haha the property was clean and bright although I didn’t realise I needed my own towels , something I have experienced before , but in saying that it is a holiday house . But over all I would refer this property to all my friends and work colleagues that travel down this way .
