The nearby UNESCO Vessertal Biosphere Reserve is a special highlight, home to rare plants and insects and renowned for its crystal-clear spring water.



The winter sports resort Oberhof is also close by, about 25 km away. It’s perfect for hiking and offers a range of sporting activities, with excellent connections to the biathlon events in Oberhof.
