"Beautiful property, perfectly renovated for a great stay. Very well provided for, we were lacking nothing. Host provided everything we might need. Five stars for everything! The “home” is a unique place to stay. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very nicely appointed. We had an excellent stay in Strangford! What a great little village. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend this property."

"If this ain’t the most perfect getaway then I don’t know what is! The cabin came in fully equipped with supplies we need minus extra things here and there. It is very comfortable, however if you have mobility issues, going up and down the stairs can be daunting. We met our hosts a couple of times during our stay and they’re nothing but accommodating and friendly. And yes, you get to use the hot tub however many times you like with the view of the lough and if you’re lucky, the cows as well."

"We enjoyed our stay at Downpatrick. The house is quite modern and has lots of room. Bedrooms and lounge areas were comfortable and kitchen was very well equipped. The only issue we had with our stay was the hot water. Initially we had no hot water as this needed to be turned on (not told and not something we were familiar with). Additionally the shower unit appeared to have malfunctioned. Despite Deidre and Joe coming over it wasn't something they could fix. They did provide a couple of bottles of wine to makee up for the inconvenience. This place would be ideal for families with small children, with playground toys outside and an assortment of toys inside.Downpatrick is about 45-60 minutes from central Belfast. We needed to catch an early morning ferry and were able to get there easily at 5:30am. Checkin and out were straightforward as the owners live in the property behind the house.Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area."
