"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. It has a gorgeous view from the back deck. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking pots/pans and utensils. We had a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The hosts were quick to respond to messages before our stay and very kind during our stay. We're so glad we chose this house to stay in during our visit to Norway."

"The property was very nice and clean. The best part was the service we received from Cato at the front desk. He was friendly and helpful. The restaurant manager was also very friendly. Food good but cold. It was not walkable for older guests. Hills too high."

"The cabin had a lot of room and nice location in the country by some crazy hiking trails. The hot tub is wood burning and definitely needs a full day stay to fill and heat up. The check out process was extensive and required much cleaning by us."

"This cottage so close to the sea, was really a pearl. We woke up to the sound from the waves. The morning coffee we enjoyed on one of the two terraces looking at the picturesque view . So nice and cozy place with a soul (one of the places you would really like to keep as a secret and not to tell anyone). The host was extremely helpful and gave us the possibilite to check in earlier. (Keybox). Prior to arrival we received a brochure via email with all the information needed about the cottage, how to get there and what to explore. She even arranged for fresh seefood/shellfish to be delivered at our place. Together with the cold Pro Secco in the fridge uppon our arrival, this was the most unforgettable stay ever. Even in rain and wind we can imagine this to be the perfect place to experience the wilderness of the west coast in Norway. The village Bekkjarvik is only 6 minutes drive from the cottage and is famous for it guesthouse with the sea and its long history since the 17th century. Bekkjarvik is a lively place with a large number of annual cultural events. We did go hiking on the "Kongsen" (200 meters high) with the famous Sherpastairs. The host was also available on the phone at all times to answer any questions. We loved to borrow the double-Kayak to explore the area around the cottage. The 2 minutes walk to the cottage from the free parkingplace was in easy terrain. We will come back, but next time we will for sure stay at least two nights."

"This is a unique property that is somewhere between a hotel, B&B, and hostel. I found it very peaceful with a beautiful view off of the balcony on the second floor. The staff were great...very friendly and helpful. This hotel also has the best food in the area and a great chef. Seriously, I tried them all. Don't waste your time, just eat at the hotel...where many locals do as well and hang around for a nice drink in the back room, which is very cozy. As for setting expectations, the rooms are as advertised and small on US standards with somewhat thin walls, but are clean and the beds were comfortable. Also, as advertised, there are shared bathrooms similar to a hostel, but I did not find it off putting, clean, and fit well with the historic nature of the inn. What I liked best. I mentioned to the staff that I had planned an early departure for a hike and would miss breakfast. They saw to it a box was set out for me prior to a 4:30 AM departure with a wonderful meal packed so that I got my money's worth and didn't go hungry on my 27km hike that day. That brings me to the area...absolutely stunning beauty in every direction. The hotel is a great option to base yourself from if you are looking to explore and hike the fjords and glacier. You can also head out on a boat, fish, or just do a nice half hour walk past a majestic waterfall and old palace. I also found the town had everything I needed within 100 meters to include grocery store and outdoor adventure store."

"Was a very wet day so arrived early and though room wasnt ready for checkin was made to feel very welcome and invited to sit down in lounge area and was offered a fresh coffee The room was spacious as was the bathroom All the shops and restaurants seemed to be shut as Public holiday so we were very appreciative of the complimentary Cold supper (Cheese, meats, bread etc) Stsaff super friendly Would highly recommend"
