"Disappointing that the pool and hot tub were down, but it wasn’t a surprise- they let us know immediately upon booking. I forgot my personal pillow and the Blue Chip’s pillows are pretty great. It’s rare that a hotel pillow doesn’t negatively affect my night of sleep (hence bringing my own) so that was a pleasant surprise. The blue chip tower is starting to show its age and wear but I guess that’s why they built the other one."

Located within a beautiful resort-style community, it offered all the comforts of home and was exceptionally clean and well-maintained.One of our favorite aspects was the location. It was just a short walk to the pool, sports courts, waterfront, fishing areas, watercraft rentals, and dining options. The property also served as an excellent home base for exploring the area. We easily visited Indiana Dunes State Park and National Park, the beach, and Washington Park Zoo. Deep River Waterpark and Zao Island were both less than an hour away.As an added bonus, the community was welcoming. The neighbors were thoughtful, the property staff was helpful, and the community was hopping with families on vacation. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with convenient access to local attractions."

"We loved the location. The house is so close to the beach. The kitchen is large and well stocked with a good variety of pans. The space was conducive to large groups. Not only were there enough bedrooms but there was plenty of large group seating including two eating spaces each large enough for our group of 10."

"Absolutely beautiful and stately house with plenty of room for three generations of family while celebrating a wedding. Our host/owner, Craig, was so very conscientious and courteous, sending helpful messages about the property, local eateries and activities, and nearby entertainment. The spacious patio was perfect for dining al fresco and the built-in firepit added to the beach vibe after sundown. The beach and Lake Michigan are as advertised-a very short walk to the dunes. An ideal week at the beach!"

"Location is great. But maintenance is badly needed. There are some real safety hazards unfortunately. The tv in the main living room is mounted in probably the most unsafe way I’ve ever seen. (Screws *through* the small plastic feet that come with tv is what is preventing it from crashing onto someone’s head. God forbid a small child. The metal grills in the gas oven don’t fit that appliance, so if you place food on it, it will fall into the oven. Please make sure there’s no oil in whatever pot/pan you’re using. We’d planned/hoped to do most of our cooking outside. But we couldn’t. The outdoor grill is gas/propane and I assume you’d have to bring/buy your own tank because the one that was there when we stayed was rusted and empty. Why there isn’t a simple charcoal grill back there is one of the dozen mysteries we pondered throughout our stay. Some of the tables, including the main dining table are unstable, using improper screws and not the right amount of screws. Look, we didn’t expect a luxury stay. It was a last minute Memorial Day Weekend booking because of a family issue that required us to stay closer to home. But the lack of care goes a bit too far when you’re concerned about the safety of the kids in the house. The property itself has a ton of potential. A ton. But in its current state, it’s not a good option for families with kids."
