Enjoy beautiful views out over the Gulf of Asinara from the balcony of La Guzzetta Stintinese. This first-floor apartment is on the edge of the charming port of Stintino in north-western Sardinia. Surrounded by nature and close to some beautiful beaches, it is the perfect holiday retreat for 6.
The apartment’s front door is reached via a flight of stone steps and leads into the open-plan living area. Here, there are two sofas, a flat-screen TV and a wood-burning stove. Large French windows open onto the shaded balcony which is an extension of the living space. Here guests can enjoy relaxed meals al fresco or simply sit and enjoy the lovely view down to the sea.
Back inside, there is a dining area and, at the end, separated by a half wall, there is an attractive, modern kitchen. This is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge/freezer.

Bedroom 1: The master bedroom has a double bed and a large wardrobe. French windows open onto a balcony with wide sea views.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds and a wardrobe.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed.

The independent bathroom has a bathtub with a shower attachment, basin, bidet, WC and washing machine.

Location
The apartment is in a peaceful area, but close to many of the amenities of Stintino. There is a supermarket just 2 minutes away, and a range of restaurants for all budgets. For more self-catering options Stintino’s weekly market on Thursday morning, Piazza dei 45, (3 minutes drive) is a treasure trove of fresh local produce.
There is a wide choice of spectacular beaches on the Stintino Peninsula. The most famous is La Pelosa (10 minutes). If you are looking for somewhere quieter, there are plenty of others to choose from.
Asinara Island is a short boat trip from the Marina di Stintino (3 minutes drive). The island is a protected national park so visitors will need to arrange a tour with a registered operator. There are many beautiful hikes on the island, bicycle tours or horse riding treks, plus unspoilt beaches. It makes a wonderful day out.
The fascinating city of Sassari (40 minutes) is one of the oldest cities on the island. Its historic centre is home to many palaces and fine churches but it is less touristy than many other towns on the island.
Alghero airport is 45 minutes away. If you are arriving by ferry, Porto Torres (30 minutes) has boats from Marseille, Barcelona, Genoa, Livorno or Corsica.
