Spacious | Wifi | Arcade| Kids Climbing Wall | RRG | Grants Ripple Cabin Is Located Right at the Slade Exit!
Summary:
Grant's Ripples is a perfect destination for your family! With its trails surrounding the property, a kids’ rock-climbing wall in the basement, a fire pit area, board games, card games, movies, and more, your group will have plenty of activities to enjoy, rain or shine. The property is secluded yet conveniently located, less than 10 minutes from some of the most popular attractions in the Red River Gorge such as Natural Bridge State Park and the Gorge Underground.
The Space:
Let’s start at the basement level.
Inside the basement, you’ll find a rock-climbing wall where your little ones can climb, hang, play board games, and watch TV. It’s a great place for them to burn off some energy in the comfort of the cabin. The basement also has a bunk bed that can sleep up to three kids, a restroom, and laundry machines.
Upstairs, you’ll find one bedroom with a full-size bed and access to the porch. There’s also a full bathroom with a walk-in shower and a huge bathtub for relaxation.
The living/dining space is an open layout with a unique spiral staircase that leads to two bedrooms and a full bathroom. There’s a smart TV in the living room, and a walk-out door to the patio where you can find additional seating and a place to eat.
The dining room table can accommodate up to eight people, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook.
Satellite internet and TV are available, but don’t expect to stream video very well. It’s possible to stream from one TV or device at a time, but even that isn’t very reliable because you’re in a very remote location. Take advantage of that and get unplugged for a little while!
Grant's Ripples was established in 2022, twenty years after the cabin was built in 2002. Since purchasing the property, we’ve added a new exterior stain, created over five private trails around an acre of property, added a fire pit area, built a KIDS rock-climbing wall, and installed all new appliances in the kitchen. We have plenty more plans in the works, all with the intention of helping you and your family create amazing memories!
Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have about Grant's Ripples!
Guest Access:
Enjoy full access to the entire cabin and its amenities. This includes the four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and one half bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped for your use, and the living room offers a TV for entertainment. Don't forget to explore the trails located in the development and enjoy the patio or balcony.
The Neighborhood:
Our cabin is conveniently located just a minute off the Slade Exit, making it one of the most accessible properties in the Red River Gorge area. The cabin is nestled in a small, friendly neighborhood, providing a peaceful retreat while still being close to local attractions. You'll find a variety of dining options and shops a short drive away, offering everything from casual eateries to unique boutiques. Explore the natural beauty of the Red River Gorge, with hiking trails and scenic overlooks within easy reach. Enjoy the tranquility of our neighborhood, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Getting Around:
Getting around the property is easy! While a car is recommended for exploring the Red River Gorge, we're conveniently located just off the Slade Exit, making arrival straightforward. Parking is available on-site at no extra charge. For those flying in, the nearest airport is Lexington-Blue Grass Airport (LEX), approximately a 1.5-hour drive away. From the airport, you can rent a car, or utilize ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft, though availability may be limited in this area. Great place for a fun and relaxing weekend in the Gorge. Awesome location near most of the sights. The cabin was super clean and well furnished and the kids loved the rock climbing wall in the bunk room.
Perfect location, clean, plenty of room. Hikes on site are very nice. recommend going around the ridge and hiking along the rock line. Couple of small arches to be seen
Though it said steep hill to your cabin, we weren't prepared for that steep of hill. Upon leaving we, (the car), virturally slid down the steep incline to get to the road .
It was good. For some reason the ac wouldnt work so it was hard to sleep since it was warm those days. Two coffee machines but no coffee. Went for coffee but either way no coffee filters.

The cabin was a nice place for my family to rest. We had the unfortunate event of the stove, not working, which put a damper on our two day trip. It’s important to point out, the home is on a very steep driveway. If there’s any snow or wet leaves like what I experienced, and you do not have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, getting up the driveway will be a challenge. I did call the management group and they were very responsive.
