Beautiful boutique hotel. Perfect location in the old town, steps from the cathedral and a short walk to the lake. Super helpful staff. Rooms are beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. The restaurant is a must try, as is the wine bar.

No14 Verbier - THANK YOU!
First impressions were fabulous - from the moment we arrived in the Chalet stepping thro’ the imposing front door fatigue slipped away as our hosts greeted us with a professional, courteous and warm welcome. Before we could blink we were snuggled up in front of the fire mesmerised by the Swiss Alps drinking Champagne accompanied by freshly baked homemade treats.
The lounge area interior design was warm, chic and mesmerising - everywhere you sit there is a view onto the terrace and into the mountains - simply stunning!
Onto the bedroom - luxurious and warm and lots of beautiful designer touches, home made cookies and a Sonos Music System where you can listen to the house playlist or simply select your own, and of course the fab bathroom with luxury toiletries.
The Spa is quite simply so beautiful, brilliant sauna, steam room(with cold water therapy), brilliant pool area, a snow machine, heated floors everywhere and cold drinks a plenty including a ‘pression’ beer tap!
The food, from afternoon tea to Canapés to the main event of a 3 course gastro feast, everything fresh, & prepared by amazing Chefs - Linda & her team, with a perfectly paired selection of local and international wines. All this personally served by conscientious and knowledgeable staff who were impossibly nice.
Overall, nothing was too much trouble for the team at No14, and we want to say a huge thank you to Lauren and all of the staff working there, who made our stay truly memorable!

Hotel d’Angleterre offers a stunning lake view and top-tier service, but the experience falls short of its 5-star designation and $1,000+ nightly price tag. It feels like a property resting on its reputation rather than modern quality.
The Room & Amenities
The hotel is visibly aging and needs an update. While rooms are spacious, the details are disappointing: sparse, unstable outlets in awkward spots and an old bathtub that is difficult to access. There are almost no amenities—not even a coffee maker. Most egregious is the "essentials" menu; charging 9 CHF for shaving cream or 12 CHF for a nail clipper in a $1k/night hotel feels like nickel-and-diming rather than luxury service.
Comfort & Facilities
Climate control was a major issue. With the AC seemingly off, we had to open windows, leaving us to choose between an uncomfortably hot room or loud street noise. Additionally, there is no on-site gym, which is a standard expectation at this level.
Dining & Location
Breakfast was unimpressive for the cost. However, the basement cocktail bar is excellent (though pricey). While the lakefront location provides beautiful views, this side of the lake is quiet; expect a 25-minute walk to reach the city's main activity on the other side.
Final Verdict
If you prioritize a classic view and traditional service, you may be satisfied. However, given the lack of modern comforts and the extra charges for basics, it’s hard to recommend over more updated luxury options in Geneva.
