The kids will raise just enough hell to be tuckered out by sunset. St. Simons Bait & Tackle is on the way if you need a license to fish off the pier. Monkey Wrench Bike Rentals is six minutes out if you absolutely insist on pedaling. But honestly? You’re too close to everything. You’ll ride for 20 seconds, then spend the next hour trying to lock it up while your ice cream cone melts before your eyes.

Massengale Park, the Coast Guard Station, and Gould’s Inlet are all within a quick sightseeing cruise—1.4, 1.9, and 2.6 miles, respectively. You’ll skip the lots, glide under the oaks, and show up like a local. Then when it’s time to recharge, your driveway’s waiting.
