"Owners are genuine German hosts. They showed us such kindness. The breakfast was filling and delicious. Great outdoor seating area for visiting and relaxing in."
"We only had an overnight stay but the room had a balcony which gave a superb view of the town. Really easy to walk into the town but quiet for sleeping. We will definitely come back."
"The property is a great value and is located exactly where i wanted to be. The staff, from desk to housekeepers ,everyone ,were helpful and efficient. "
"Owner was actively engaging with customers.
My room was tiny, seems clean except for around the windows.
I paid for the breakfast, it was small and had less options than you would get at a free breakfast in north America, nothing warm except for hard boiled eggs. Would not buy it again if I ever return."
"Such a friendly welcome and attentive service throughout our stay. The related restaurant was excellent, breakfast was delightful and the rooms were bright spacious and clean. A great location to explore the Rhine."
"Breakfast was the usual German buffet with many extended options. Very good.
Rooms are modern, spacious, and clean.
Staff is helpful and handled all dietary restrictions without a hitch."

"We booked for 6 people but neither bed settee was made up. We eventually found some duvets and pillows but no clean sheets so opened a packet of new sheets we found in a room in the basement. The same with towels. The washing machine was on with a load of washing in it full of water. There was a pile of dirty bedding in a room in the basement. There were no instructions in the flat at all .The lights and other electrical systems were ridiculously complicated. Also no instructions about hot water in the shower. We could not use the TV as no instructions and nothing on use of hot tub although there were boxes of chemicals on the windowsill outside. We did contact a man by phone who arranged for cleaners to come in and find bedding - however we had found the duvets by the time they came but they didnt leave any sheets or towels which we needed, and we were out eating by then so we never did get the bed for the children properly made up.There was no furniture in the bedrooms apart from lamps which was very inconvenient with nothing to put things on or in though there were 2 sets of drawers in rooms in the basement which were obviously meant for the bedrooms. The terrace needed garden furniture to be useable. It looked like no-one had even checked that the house was useable and safe even though I note there is a review from June 25 which flags similar issues. The house was expensive and I would expect first class accommodation and facilities for the price we paid."
"I loved every second of my stay here. I travelled here alone and it was my first time navigating by myself in a foreign country. I arrived early because I was worried I’d take a wrong train or something. The train schedule was easy to figure out and the station was less than a ten minute walk away from this hotel. I arrived too early to check in but these lovely people let me leave my luggage in the lobby so that I could go explore without dragging my suitcase with me.
I returned still too early for check in but wanting to ask about lunch options, however when I arrived they let me know my room was ready for early check in, and that honestly made my day perfect. Because I was able to check in early, I had enough time to take a nap (international jet lag is no joke), and then I still had time afterward to go explore the town. I returned and had dinner at the hotel and it was DELICIOUS. The best food I had even throughout the remainder of my trip.
The complementary breakfast the next morning was also a shock. It was so so good. All the different buffet options and an egg station where someone would prepare your eggs how you requested!
I was also concerned about the language barrier, I don’t speak any German whatsoever and was worried I wouldn’t understand everything right. They had plenty of English speaking employees though and they were all so extremely kind and understanding.
If I’m ever headed back to Germany I’ll be making another stop to stay here again!"
"The view of the ships going up and down the Rhein, with all those beautiful grapes growing in the other side make it hard to leave!
Friendly, helpful service too!"
"Great trip to Rudesheim and very pleasant stay at Traube Hotel for 2 nights including breakfast. Comfortable room with all necessary facilities including kettle for making cups of tea. Good communication with staff who are very helpful. Excellent breakfast and good local restaurants.
Convenient for river cruise."
"My wife and I are from the US and wanted to visit Rüdesheim. We called the hotel the day before our arrival to confirm our reservation and talked to the Sweetest lady. She provided great information and told us we were all set. We arrived by train and were allowed to check in early. The check in process was easy, loads of helpful information was provided. They gave us a beautiful room on the German first floor (2nd floor) with an amazing view of the Rhine River. The room was so spacious and clean. The bathroom was a little small but had everything we needed. Other reviews mentioned the noise but we didn’t notice anything to complain about. We are staying in Germany for another five weeks and my wife is begging me to take her back to the Krone hotel for another three night visit. We highly recommend this hotel for location, breakfasts, cleanliness, friendly staff, wonderful rooms but most importantly the value. "
