This is a nice property. It has a unique blend of old world charm and modern style Great location. We could walk to restaurants, museums , sites in minutes It made a good base for day trips around Provence. The breakfast is optional. Seemed expensive for limited options. No coffee service in room so needed the convenience.

Charming hotel and amazing welcome from the staff!

This hotel has a modern twist in decor but still retains the Provençal charm. Very conveniently located , short walk to town. Every staff member went out of their way to assist in any way possible! Absolutely would highly recommend staying at Gounod!! &We also loved cuisine des anges restaurant:)

Charming hotel, great setvixe

What a fantastic experience. The hotel was very charming and well decorated. Great proximity in town. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Pictures online do not do this hotel justice, it is gorgeous.

Gounod at St. Remy

We stayed in a charming room at the Gonoud. It was on the garden side with a little balcony. The grounds are so pretty. We loved our stay there and the town of St. Remy! Heidi (staff) was so great. She helped us replace we rented when it broke down. She is always pleasant and had a huge part in making our stay wonderful! I would recommend this jewel to anyone! The location is within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

A charming hotel

Had an interesting themed room with sheet music on the walls but it was very dark as the curtains, headboard and carpet were black. It had a great shower and huge washbasin and mirror with lovely toiletries but the separate toilet was very small and dark. Great private balcony which was a bonus with sun beds, table and chairs. Parked the car in private car park at 10 euros a day which was about 5 mins walk away. Continental Breakfast was expensive at 15 euros per person. Lovely garden and outside areas, very pretty. No tea/coffee in the room however it is a delightful hotel in gorgeous Saint Remy de Provence.

TRES BEAU, TRES ANCIEN, UNE AUTRE EPOQUE !

Très bel hôtel, décoré à l'ancienne, on se croirait dans une autre époque. J'ai adoré même si notre chambre était un peu trop simple à mon goût. Par contre les extérieurs sont aussi beaux que l'intérieur. En plus il est bien placé, on peut se promener dans les rues commerçantes à pied, qui ne sont vraiment pas loin ! Le personnel d'accueil super sympa, le petit déj aussi dans la simplicité mais efficace (par contre 15 € ça fait cher, mais il n'y a que des produits bio venant directement du producteur je pense donc ça doit venir de la...) Je recommande cet hôtel.

convenience, great service and confortable hotel

We were so fortunate to have chosen St Remy to visit all the smal towns around - it is a perfect town with great restaurants. The Hotel Gonoud has a wonderful location, the rooms are confortable and the hotel is very pleasant and convenient to everything. We had a couple of days to visit the region, and Antoine, who works there was wonderful and helped us not only to plan our itinerary(ruling out the places not worth visiting) but also getting us great reservations in the best hotels. So if this is your plan, stay here.

A relaxing stay

The staff Anthony met us when we arrived. He explained the history of the hotel to us, which we found very interesting. He then showed us around the hotel. We love the garden in front of our room so much. The room is neat and tidy.

Great quirky hotel

Loved our stay at the Gounod. Right in the centre of the town, it was easy to walk everywhere. Each room is different, and we loved ours with a balcony with table and chairs looking out over the garden from the second floor. It was private and quiet, especially important as the town Feria, or festival of the bulls, was taking place during four of the days we were there. Wonderful people, wonderful breakfast. Very good internet connection in the rooms. We would definitely stay there again.

Middle of Provence

Room was extremely small even by European standards and up a spiral stairs with no help from staff with luggage to get things up these ridiculous small steps and it and the hallway were also dark. The a/c was poor even for France . The auto parking area was 4 blocks away. But the location was great.
