AC was not working, difficult to get a refund

When we checked in at 7pm the AC was not working and it felt warm in the home. The refridgerator was also making a beeping noise like the door was left open, but the door was closed. Called owner, I spent at least 45 minutes trying to reset circuit breakers and troubleshoot the AC issue but couldn't get it resolved. Owner wasn't willing to pay to have someone come out that evening and wanted to wait until the next day. I was in town for a funeral service for my wife and we were doing the service the following day. I still was getting things ready for that and didn't expect to have to spend time trying to get the AC working there. Ultimately I told him we would not be staying there and asked for a refund, which he agreed to, but he asked that I cancel the reservation. The problem with that is after 4pm on the checkin day only the owner can cancel the reservation. Even after I tried to cancel online and told owner there was no option for me to do so, he insisted I call VRBO and have it cancelled. I called them (1hr holding and talking to someone) to find out that I couldn't cancel it over the phone, so VRBO had to reach out to him and have him do it anyway. Owner could have handled this from the onset.If the owner has to cancel they still get charged a fee and then VRBO investigates the property and if they find multiple issues will eventually remove the property listing. Other than that, the home was spacious and seemed decent, not the greatest neighborhood though.

Perfect location

We come every year for Spring training and this house was an excellent location for us. Beautiful kitchen and bathroom remodels. Beds were comfortable, plenty of storage space, nice linens and towels. Property was clean and area was very quiet. The host was amazing, very quick to respond and extremely accommodating.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Winter trip

Property was clean and tidy and the host was very good with communication. Few fast food restaurants closeby. Water pressure in the ensuite wash basin was low.

Great Choice!

We chose this housef for the location. We were attending an event nearby. The house was clean and as described. Older house but many new upgrades had been made. We had 6 people in our party and there was plenty of room. Neighborhood was quiet. House is in close proximity to the essentials. I would assume the AC iworks great . We never used it as our trip was during the major cold snap of 2025. It actuall got down to the upper 30's. Over all a great pick and worth the price!

Cool home close to beach.

The house was very clean, updated, and close to everywhere we wanted to go. The beds were very comfortable! If you plan on cooking at the house, this might not be the best option for you. There are not many utensils or cooking materials, it’s very bare bones, but if you plan on eating out for all your meals this place would be perfect for you. I would recommend the owner purchase some more kitchen supplies, and maybe some other blankets for the living room.

Close to the beach!

Check-in was easy and checking out was just as simple. There wasn’t a long list of things that we needed to do upon leaving. We never really had a need to reach out to the owner. When we did, the owner always replied within a few minutes. The house is probably twenty minutes from the beach, if not less. There are a couple of boogie boards for guests to use in the garage. There are also a couple of bikes that we used to get a feel of the neighborhood. Nothing picturesque, just a regular residential neighborhood. My husband and sons drove about ten minutes to spend the day fishing from a charter boat. They caught quite a few good-sized fish. We really enjoyed the proximity to the beaches though, which was the whole reason for the trip. Overall, no complaints.

Met our family's needs just right

The place was as described and very clean. Our family of 2 adults and 7 kids enjoyed it. It was a good base of operations for our vacation in the area.

Checked All the Boxes

We spent a full month at this house. It met all our needs: comfortable beds, updated kitchen and bathrooms, w/d, garage for our bikes and enough rooms for our visitors. We like a room with leather seats so they can be cleaned easily. These were recliners - a bonus! The family room TV is enormous and Wi-Fi worked great. We had a few issues at first, but Julio solved everything in a timely fashion. He was an excellent communicator! The only recommendations we have are that there be more outdoor furniture (for we northerners who want to be outdoors as much as possible) and some end tables with lamps in the family room, so the bright recessed lights can be turned off. The real advantage to this house is that it’s central to the beaches and restaurants we live to visit. We’ll be back!

Comfortable beds, good location

The property is close to clearwater beaches, and also not too far away to Tampa and St Petersburg. In the cold days we visited, the house is warm and comfortable. The only suggestion is that, it will be perfect plus if there are a few more dishes, bowls and cookwares in the kitchen.

Great Visit

Communication property owner was quick and easy! House was clean, beautifully decorated, beds comfortable. 10 minute drive to the beach and 15 min drive to airport. Overall a great VRBO for the price!

The only thing the property lacked was enough cooking utensils and baking dishes and thing's of that nature. Beautiful house and Kitchen, lots of space. 🥰🤗❤️

Experience

The house was very nice . In the master bedroom there was very tiny bugs looks like ants that was only by bathroom door. They came out more at night . Did not appear to be roachs . The shower water was not as hot as I would like in that room . I also think they need a stronger door for the kitchen / back door . A security door maybe. And more lighting outside the home. Really dark at night. . Overall the house was very nice and convenient . The tv in the master bedroom might had needed battery no big deal . The house was very clean nice fridge . The pots and pans was very tiny.

Clean house -Easy Check-in/Out process

House is basically brand new inside. Host provide a few extras that were appreciated-there was even an airfryer :) Thanks for the ease of rental and great communication.

Very nice place

Very nice, clean, and spacious place to stay. It is a great location for shopping, nearby beaches and parks. Julio was very easy to communicate with at any time and check in and out was very easy. We definitely look forward to our next visit.

Girls getaway in the sun

We stayed for a week at Julio’s sweet home. It was very comfortable, clean and lots of space. It had everything we needed, he even left us beach chairs, towels and an umbrella. Many beaches were a close drive away, very central to all amenities. Julio made it very easy to communicate, and responded very quickly to our inquiries. We had a fantastic time!

Lovely home base for a family weekend!

With this home having 4 bedrooms, it really has all the room and amenities for a larger group. We wound up only needing two bedrooms, but this place can really sleep up to 9. Full locked was an excellent surprise for my parents who brought their motorcycle and feared leaving it out. Julio had toiletries available and was a super responsive host and family members that swung by to meet for pick ups and drop offs all remarked on how beautiful the renovations were. Massive tv in the living room!
