I had booked & paid for my stay through Expedia. But, for some reason, the payment seemingly did not post in the hotel's computer. So, when I arrived, I was told that I would need to pay again at the desk- not only the advertised price on Expedia, but an extra, non- refundable $50.00 ( tax) pet fee NOT originally advertised on their Expedia write-up. I was also asked to pay the $5/per night fee for the pet, but this I WAS expecting, as that fact was included in the hotel description. The night clerk suggested we call Expedia to correct the matter of my payment which had posted on my credit card, and the Expedia attendant on the line was both pleasantly & quickly able to solve that matter. I then paid the $55 separately and was finally able to be issued a room key. After three long days of driving across the country, this was not exactly a good start to the relaxing evening I had been looking forward to since booking these accommodations earlier in the day.
