The rooms were very clean but the people standing around outside all hours of the night obviously some of them were using drugs of some kind. All around I just didn't feel safe at that location.

The room was pretty nice. I didn't like the pillows and the overhead cabinets didn't have doors. The bathroom sink didn't have a stopper and looked like something growing in it. Shower was great. It was a little noisy above my room and someone was playing their car radio a little loud in the parking lot at 4:00 a.m. with their bass pounding. But overall it was a pretty good stay for the night.

It was nothing fancy and the bed wasnt great. It did come with a full fridge, stovetop and microwave in the kitchen though which would be super convenient if you were staying longer. We just needed a place to crash for the night and it was a pretty solid spot.

Fire alarm kept going off.. Staff were BEYOND rude.. very intimidating, almost threatening. When I called to attempt to assist my young adult daughter, he (staff) refused to give me his name, then hung up on me. Took the security guard and went to my daughters room demanding to know who just called, and told her to tell me NEVER to call him again. My daughter was in tears and afraid to leave her room to exit the hotel. I have requested a refund as she finally did leave from a back exit.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad night's sleep because of the noise from the fire alarm in the room. The extreme heat St. Louis experienced during your stay and the window in the room being open caused the alarm to go off, it creates extra humidity in the room. We apologize this was an issue during your stay. I would like to discuss further with you about the staff and the concerns you mention above. Disgusting if you're thinking think twice
One of the worst experiences I've ever had the air conditioner didn't work it smelled like pets all through the place not only did the air conditioner didn't work in my room they did not have the air going in the hallway so it made the pet smell even worse when I came out to see what I could do about the air conditioner not working the armed guard I said guard like whoa never had one of those before and they say it's a city ordinance but it really isn't because none of the other hotels in Arnold have armed guards been to everyone of them and then they tried to play like I'm stupid like I don't know how to use an air conditioner requested a refund and was denied actually she hung up on me

The situation you mentioned is not usual for our location, we do advertise as being pet friendly and with the ac issue you mentioned, I am sorry that your unit was turned off when the gsr came to assist you with that. As an extended stay hotel, we have many happy guests that let us provide them a home away from home. We are saddened that this was not the case for you. I had booked & paid for my stay through Expedia. But, for some reason, the payment seemingly did not post in the hotel's computer. So, when I arrived, I was told that I would need to pay again at the desk- not only the advertised price on Expedia, but an extra, non- refundable $50.00 ( tax) pet fee NOT originally advertised on their Expedia write-up. I was also asked to pay the $5/per night fee for the pet, but this I WAS expecting, as that fact was included in the hotel description. The night clerk suggested we call Expedia to correct the matter of my payment which had posted on my credit card, and the Expedia attendant on the line was both pleasantly & quickly able to solve that matter. I then paid the $55 separately and was finally able to be issued a room key. After three long days of driving across the country, this was not exactly a good start to the relaxing evening I had been looking forward to since booking these accommodations earlier in the day.
