"On the positive side I have stayed here before three years ago and had a lovely room and the staff were wonderful. On the negative side this trip, again booked with Expedia.com, resulted in a poor room, on the top floor, at the very end of the corridor. The room was very dark and had a sloping roof. The window was sealed shut and the louvre blinds kept falling closed so the lights were on most of the time. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work and there was no provision of a USB port to recharge a phone or iPad. Coffee is provided in the lobby f.o.c. early morning but is luke warm by mid morning and not replenished. On the good side this trip, having said that they didn’t have any, the front desk did eventually find me an adapter for the plug socket to USB and also the pool was again good. The staff again friendly and polite. Remember that local taxes will be added to your stay."

"First time here and it won’t be my last. I specifically chose this hotel for my birthday trip bc I wanted to be in the middle of the action. And it did not disappoint. Check in was quick, all staff polite and helpful. Special acknowledgment to the door man Caleb (who doubled as bell hop on our last day) and to the pool bartender Jaime, who makes a mean French 75! These gentlemen helped make our trip extra special."

"I really enjoyed staying at this property. The design was wonderful and I appreciated the attention to detail. Everything was efficient and well thought out. The amenities were excellent and the kitchen had everything that you could need down to the creole seasoning packets. I am a native of New Orleans and this property really made me feel like I was staying in a family member's guest house. I would definitely recommend it. I only had one concern, the sofa bed was really uncomfortable and would not be recommended for adults but if you are traveling with children it would be suitable."

"The front desk staff was great when we arrived. Very helpful and checking was smooth and seamless. The property has not been well maintained and our room was damp and had an odor. We arrived late, so we decided to deal with it. The bed also creaked when anyone moved slightly-not sure if that was the mattress or bed springs. This is not somewhere we would pay to stay at again."
