It was a great stay. Perfect location with a beautiful lake across the street and very close to the bus stop that can take you straight to the train station. The host is great, and the breakfast is so great - lots of options!

This property is on lake Thun bank and its very quiet, relaxing and close to bus stop and train station as well as few minuts away bus journey from Interlaken. Ideal for Family holidays. This felt like family operated place where cool, calm & welcoming feeling we had.

Good location and accessible to the lake. Amenities very limited, has potential to improve. Could be better if there is a vending machine on site and coffee and hot water facilities in the room. Need to update pillows and towels as some looks worn and flat. Good breakfast but could do better by providing variety.

Great little hotel with an excellent view of the lake and mountains! Two things you should be aware of: 1. Bring soap 2. The driveway up to the parking and reception is VERY steep. Host is very nice and breakfasts were lovely.

Fine, old hotel - good location

Nice little hotel, old and with a bit too many stuffed, dead animals on the walls where you eat (yes I know it’s a hunting theme hotel, but still) Owner is a quiet, calm guy - do not own service mind at all, but a fine man, he does the job, and prepare a good simple breakfast, with good ingredients, lovely cheese and bread! The hotel has a good location with a swimming spot just outside at the lake, and relatively good locations, for driving to Interlaken and Grindelwald (where we went for hikes)

The property is located in a beautiful place with easy access to the lake and has ample parking. However, the room was dusty and there were hairs on the bathroom wall. The room was spacious but very old fashioned and needed some TLC. The stuffed dead animals in the main area weren’t to my liking though!

Misleading on distance to hotel from train /bus station. They said a 10 minute walk but had to take a taxi that cost $30.00 one way. It was a couple miles away. Spent over $100. on taxi service while there. Hotel was more of a hunting lodge with no less than 15 stuffed animals and birds in the lobby and dining area. Very nice carpentry work throughout. Nice views.

Property is is definitely not a three star property as advertised. There are a number of facilities listed here but are not there. For e.g. there is no room service, no laundry service, the restaurant only serves breakfast, no hot water in the evening, room heater didn’t work in our room, you have to ask for the basic things and it depends upon the owner/manager to decide whether to provide or not. I booked this place thinking I would have a relaxed 3 days with family but was very disappointed to be honest. Then I looked at some of the google reviews of the property and noticed I wasn’t alone. Definitely not the price they charge you for. The property is nice and on the bank of a beautiful lake so that was the only positive.
