Serene lake view with cute cottages along the shore. Easy walk down to the water. We stayed one night and enjoyed the beautiful views and comfortable room. Check in was easy and they provided us with a printed map to find the room. For check out, we just needed to call!! Love that. Botanical Gardens are nearby! After checkout we enjoyed a walk through the garden.
We were so lucky. We were the only cabin with folks staying. So it was super quiet. To sit out in the deck and watch the sunset fall down past the lake, from which we had a perfect view, was nothing short of beautiful and relaxing g.
Everyone was very welcoming and any issues that arouse they we prompt to fix and take care of. We had a nice relaxing stay and peaceful we will be returning
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Eagles Nest. As we are getting up in years it would have been nice to know exactly how to access the cabin and parking. It was cold and rainy but very enjoyable, relaxing, and quiet.
We had a wonderful stay at the lake and in the Eagles Nest Cottage. We appreciated the dog friendly option and our host was outstanding. We felt welcomed and well informed. Our host was only a text away and checked in on us occasionally. This specific cottage has access to a fire pit, that we enjoyed two nights in a row, a grill and an access trail to the lake just below the cottages deck. We and our dogs enjoyed exploring the shoreside of the lake and finding neat rocks. Lots of fossils down there! The view from the cottage windows and porch are beautiful. This cottage is adjoined/connected to the one directly in front of it, so we did hear our neighbors occasionally. Not a big deal for us, but note if it could be for you. We hiked the trail located past the Honors cabin, a sign noticeable to start you in the direction. It goes on for quite a distance so after about a mile in we turned around, I’d love to have known just how long it was. The Lighthouse Pub just down the hill from the cottages is delicious with great staff and we enjoyed everything we ordered, two nights in a row. The Tulsa Botanical Gardens are a 15 minute drive down the road, beautiful and peaceful. The Tulsa Zoo is about a 30 minute drive, always a fun time! Highly recommend this host and the location. We will be back!

Was disappointed that my location was in a rocky place. No place to walk around and enjoy the scenery. Very steep location. Hazardous walk to and from. No good parking. Cabin was nice and clean though.

Tips if Staying
Some extra things to pack:
Some type of dark tape to cover the bright light on AC unit that literally lights up the whole cabin. No buttons on the remote turn it off.
Your own hand and dish soap as none is provided.
Climbing rope to climb down the rocks just to make it safely to your front door as neighbors will probably block shared porch. No stairs directly to door although they could easily build some.
Your own mattress if you prefer not to sleep on two inches of foam on top of box spring.
Hiking boots if you even want to make it down the slope to the “beach” area.
Calamine lotion if you do brave the terrain to get to the beach.
Cutting board if you are planning on doing any type of cooking (some knives are provided).
Money to tip the cleaner after you clean the entire place before checkout.
The lake is very nice, one of the best I’ve been to in OK. But the cabins at cross timbers are lacking a lot! If you don’t have a boat DO NOT BOOK as there is no swimming area because of the large marina. If you do have a boat, consider how much you are willing to pay for a slip because this place is pricey and there is no place to park your trailer. And you better be excellent at maneuvering said trailer because parking gets very tight!
Check in could have been simplified. Need to check in between 3-5pm. You have to sign an extra form which they seem to be annoyed if you actually want to read what you are signing and then they provided a code for the door. All online tasks.
The property was as described and the view was amazing!

bad day at cabin
enjoyed the lake area but getting to room was a no go. Steep angle along entire length of property. Had to go around adjoining unit or across their deck. I am old but still expect reasonable access. The Vrbo picture is not proper for this rental.

First I'd like to say that the people at Cross Timbers are super lovely and helpful. The little cottage was nice enough, not fancy and that's fine. The interior is a bit different from the photos now. However, the pictures are incredibly misleading. I was expecting a stand-along cottage that faced the water for some much desired peace and quiet. Instead I arrived to find a cottage that shared a wall with another cottage and a porch with a second. NO privacy whatsoever. My neighbors woke me up at least 2 out of 3 nights. So again - the cottage was nice, the lake was gorgeous but if you're looking for quiet this is not it. I would visit again but go for different reasons.

We won't be renting from here again
We arrived late and wanted to go to bed. I always check our bedding before getting in a bed. The comforter had very visible stains, the sheets had hair on them, and when my husband pulled the bed back a roach went crawling up the wall. We killed the roach and took the bedding off. I went to wash my face and all the wash clothes were stained or dirty so I used a paper towel. I realize sometimes you might have one thing go wrong but this was to many.

Relaxing stay
Cute little place to ease your stress. Small but cozy, I wouldn't recommend this place for two, but it was just right for one. Beautiful scenery, nice and quiet, the perfect get-a-way for few days of solitude. The downsides; 1.) there is nothing to eat on in the room. Although the outside table and chairs are great, they leave a little something to be desired when it rains or is cool. A TV tray could take care of that. 2.) it's not for the less than sure footed, as it takes a little maneuvering downhill to,get to. All in all, a pretty sweet place.
