It is very clean budget hotel. Quiet room , good bed and great shower water pressure. Enjoyed my stay before boarding my ferry. Thank you to the owner for being there to help. Prompt check in, nice staff. All you can ask for really.
I appreciate that they left our room key out for us. We were there to sleep while waiting to go on a cruise the following day. I would say that most of the people who also went on the cruise stayed at another hotel but for the price and distances to the shopping center it wasn't bad. I wish the restaurant had later hours but there was a pub about a block away.
This hotel was was a perfect budget one night stay while we waited on the coastal ferry to take us south. The room was as advertised and the staff were friendly and helpful. The dumb waiter to move luggage to higher floors rather than carrying up stairs was welcome after a long day of traveling.
The property is clean and functional and the beds comfortable.
Nothing to do with the Hotel but when you plan to stay in Kirkenes make sure there is not a music festival. The noise outside goes on until the early hours of the morning. We were on an early flight out and got very little sleep. The other guests were very noisy as well. There is also pub/club next door with people making a fair amount of noise on the street.
The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and warm. There was no staff there during our stay and when they did show up, they were very unfriendly. Lots of people queued up to try and leave bags and check in. Since there are limited planes that arrive, you'd think they would be there knowing that there would be people wanting to drop their bags - especially when the footpaths are covered in ice. Breakfast situation was odd - we didn't try it after seeing it was a tray left in the kitchen (a converted motel room and pretty bleak). Forget asking for information about the town as there was no one there to ask. Common areas were a bit dirty. It was cheaper than other places in town but might be worth paying a little extra.
Quite basic but much cheaper than other hotels in Kirkenes, so this was the reason for us booking this hotel. It is actually fine, close to the town centre and convenient for a nights stay before catching the ferry or going to the airport. We had an easy walk to the cruise ferry terminal. Free coffee is a nucellus bonus and our room was fine for our short stay.
The restaurant is open and we have a marvelous selection to choose and eaten.

2/10 Terrible

My card and receipt was left on front desk as I checked in at 11pm. Room very basic but clean. Stay was terrible due to a very drunk person being aggressive and shouting and banging doors very loudly all night long. he was in the room next to me and kept trying to get in to my room all night. I had to put a chair under my door handle and felt really unsafe. No staff to be seen during this and no way of contacting them from the room. 4 x police came and arrested him after half hour of trying to get in his room. Awful night - couldn’t wait to get out of there. Didn’t see any breakfast anywhere and staff didn’t said anything when I handed my key in and complained.
No one thrre for check-in during check-in hours. When he did arrive he said to hurry up. He had to leave. No heat control in room. Not able to turn on the shower. Handle was stuck. Reluctant to help us call a taxi.

budget choice
Old hotel and attched to a Chinese restaurant. Can't say it's comfortable but also can't say anything bad given the location and price. Still the No.1 budget choice in this small town.
