No tenia muchas expectativas por la excesiva cantidad de malas reseñas que tiene este hotel pero dentro de lo que cabe nos fue muy bien, es cierto que al entrar al hotel te da un olor a marisco pero considero que es un olor tolerable y solo es en la recepción, los elevadores, pasillos y habitaciones no huelen mal. Mi habitación considero que era de buen tamaño el baño muy limpio, todo muy limpio y la cama estaba deliciosa para descansar, la vista del balcon era hermosa y la alberca estaba deliciosa el agua calientita. Lo unico que no nos gusto fue que no nos permitieron tener nuestra hielera en la alberca supongo para obligarnos a comprar bebidas en su bar pero las bebidas estaban muy caras para mi gusto y no eran tan buenas (compramos dos y nisiquiera las terminamos de lo malas que eran). Cabe mencionar que ibamos con una bebe y dentro de la hielera llevabamos fruta, agua, snacks y jugos para ella (cosas que obviamente no venden en su bar) entonces se me hizo absurdo no poder tener nuestra hielera con esas necesidades de mi bebe cerca de nosotros. El personal fue muy amable, la chica de recepción me habia dado una habitación de dos camas, le pedi el cambio a una cama para poder dormir a mi bebe enmedio de nosotros y evitar que se cayera y muy amable nos cambio la habitación.

We ate three times in the bar and grill and the food was terrible. Had to go off premises to get something decent to eat. The cleaning staff was very rude Beach access is terrible if you want to go early in the morning The ice machine on the seventh floor did not work. You would think a big name hotel chain like this could do better I will not stay at a Margaritaville resort again, and I won’t recommend it to anyone. I know at least not the one at South Padre Island.

The custodial staff were the kindest staff and making sure we were well taken care of. The air-conditioner made a hissing continuous hissing noise making it difficult to sleep. All our items felt damp with all the condensation and that is keeping it at 70*.

Beautiful property but needs detail cleaning. There was mold in the sink of the restroom and the appliances were dirty. Very easy access to the beach and they had live music which was great!

Took a chance and made reservations for this property. I arrived early and appreciated being able to check in early after an extremely early morning flight. My check in was a few hours after my arrival. The staff were accommodating and friendly. My room was fine up until the last night when the people next door arrived and I could tell they left a lap dog in the room alone that was barking and whining. The carpet on my floor had an unclean smell (not damp or musty) and was in need of being cleaned and vacuumed. Often times it was difficult to find lounge chairs at the pool and the hotel did not provide chairs on the beach. Public parking and walkway to the beach are within 300ft of the hotel however I didn’t find this to be a problem. My biggest concerns at this hotel was the horrendous smell of the lobby restroom and the bleach-like taste of the water. Unfortunately the restaurant is located adjacent to the restaurant. It smelled like poop or a land field. The water was undrinkable however the hotel did provide two 16 oz bottles of H2O a day. The hotel does not provide any shuttle serves however the free shuttle is located just across the street from the hotel and covered the entire length of Padre Street and a portion of Port Isabelle. The DJ was excellent however the band was mediocre. As far as the restaurant, I had breakfast there twice but would not recommend dinner. The Salty Rim Bar is fine and so was the pizza. Unsure if I will return.

The best part of this hotel is the beach access. I don’t understand how they can stand the smell in the lobby, it’s a mix of urine and septic. We thought it was odd the first day we arrived but figured it would go away, it did not. You could hardly stand to walk by the front areas. We have stayed at many resorts and there is always tons of activities; not here. The pool looked dirty the water so hot and we did not use it at all. The staff was rude and honestly seemed annoyed when you asked them anything. There was no greeting our welcome when we arrived. We were so excited to stay here but if you are traveling with a large group or kids go someplace else. The food is so expensive and the breakfast buffet is 22$ per person which we would have paid if it was not so limited. They have a coffee shop, breakfast sandwiches at 14$… will not be back you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Way overpriced for what it is. Cleanliness was not the best, we had a dead roach in our room. Also, everyday at 6am, we had a landscaping crew right outside our balcony, shaving down palm trees.

We usually stay at commercial hotels like Holiday Inn or the Hilton. This was our first time staying in a resort on the beach. The price was about the same but you get way much more staying at a resort. Loved the pool, the drinks, the food and the immediate access to the beach. We will definitely be coming back to Margaritaville! Cheers!

The morning of check out there was a housekeeping staff camped outside our door. Inwent out for coffee around 930. She asked if we were on our way out. Confused as check out is at 11 am. She stood there , asking anyone who came out of our room if we were leaving. At least 3 times. Felt extremely rushed, management most like booked the condo for an early check in and sent this staff memeber tonrush us out

Nice stay in this hotel. Clean, and staff was very attentive. Only issue we had was the check-in, they gave us a room that had not been cleaned. They then gave us a room that had been cleaned, it was a small inconvenience.

Had a 4 night stay and we had a good time. Resort was nice, but hasn’t aged very well. I liked the pool area and the drinks were delicious. I would stay again, but hope they do some professional updates soon. I will let you all know you have to pay to rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach and that was about $40 a day.

Overall the property was ok. However the restaurant food options were bland and expensive. It was presented as plenty of things to do within walking distance and that is false. Honestly they should offer a ride service or staff that explains how to use the local transportation. As to the staff the lands keepers, house keepers & waiters were amazingly polite. Front desk never greeted us once we checkin. Asked how our stay was going, nothing. Overall 3.5 rate.
