Location is great! We enjoyed being at the "quieter" north end of the island, yet within walking distance of Sea Turtle, Inc, the Birding Center, and a nice gift shop on the corner. It is also a quick walk up the beach to grab some food or a drink at Clayton's if you like that sort of thing. (Warning: I would not take children by that part of the beach on a Saturday night. We went out looking for crabs on the beach with a flashlight, and there were drunk people getting sick in the water, and trash everywhere! Just walk south to avoid that whole scene.) Take a quick drive to the Laguna Madre Nature Trail (free!) just north of the condo and walk to the end for a spectacular view of the sunset with no crowds!
The condo easily fit our family of 5, and we appreciated the updated kitchen and baths, as well as the large balcony, though we would have liked to have more seating out there. There are only two chairs and one small table. The kitchen had tons of pantry and fridge storage, and all supplies you could need for all your meals. Plenty of seating around the kitchen island and in the living room, but as a previous reviewer noted, we could not get the TV in the living room to work.
A few minor notes about the master bedroom: We could not get the fan and light switch to work, and the master bed was very soft and dipped in the middle. Also note that the "master" bedroom is not attached, but across the hall.
