About this property

AT NICO'S: A breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. The dune is your garden.

  • Here you’ll find a little paradise right on the Atlantic Ocean: Watch the sunset and the endless expanse of the sea from the terrace or your bed, and be on the beach in a three-minute walk, strolling along the sand to Soulac or Le Gurp.
We have two adjacent houses that we rent out. Both are laid out similarly. This is the corner house.
The corner house CHEZ NICO (No. 9):
The first room features a new sofa bed (160×200) with new mattresses, as well as a dresser and a wardrobe.
The bathroom and toilet are separate. The bathroom was freshly renovated in 2025. It has a window, a new shower, a heated towel rack, and a washing machine. The mirrored cabinet and a tall cabinet provide plenty of storage space.
A wooden staircase leads from the living room to the upstairs bedroom (with a door), which was also recently renovated. There is ample space here for clothes and other items, as well as a 180m bed with a new mattress topper. From the bed, you can look out at the ocean and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The dark curtain provides privacy.
Downstairs is the living/dining area and the open kitchen, newly installed in 2025. It features an induction stove, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a coffee maker, a kettle, a microwave with grill and bake functions, and a new dishwasher. You’ll find everything you need for cooking and baking. Dishes and silverware for at least 6 people are provided, as well as glasses, pots, pans, and more—feel free to use everything in the drawers; nothing should be missing. The kitchen also has a small window.
In the living room, you’ll also find a TV, a leather couch, a dining table, and, of course, access to the heart of the apartment: the terrace.
Here you’ll find a large wooden table with chairs, as well as lounge chairs, a gas grill, and an umbrella stand. The “garden” consists of the dunes that protect the beach, and right behind them is the ocean. A breathtaking view awaits you.
You can also sit out front (morning sun), where seating is provided as well.
You can park in the small private parking lot directly in front of the house.
The location is perfect for anyone who likes it quiet yet central: just two turns around the corner and you’re right on the beach (which is also lifeguarded during the season). Amélie is a small town with a few restaurants and a campground, which is also within walking distance of the vacation home and has a small supermarket where you can get everything you need. From fresh croissants to groceries and newspapers, all the way to swimwear and toys. Both are open depending on the season. However, you can also shop easily in Soulac, 3 km away, at the newly built and expanded Lidl, Carrefour, or Spar. In addition, there’s a daily market in Soulac with fresh produce, as well as a fish market and an outstanding butcher shop that are open year-round.
If you’re a fan of the large supermarkets France is famous for, your best bet is to drive to Lesparre (18 km) to visit l’Eclerc.
Soulac itself is a picturesque town dating back to 1900, with many small boutiques, cafés, and restaurants, as well as plenty of tourist attractions for all ages during the season.
Since I spend many weeks each year traveling throughout the Gironde in my role as a wine taster, I’m happy to organize the occasional wine testing at a château for those interested.
Bookworms will also find plenty to enjoy: as avid readers ourselves, we offer a wide selection of books in German and English, primarily in the genres of suspense and humor.

We spend some time in our homes every year ourselves, so we’re all the more committed to keeping everything in top condition, and we’re delighted by the many positive reviews from our guests, who appreciate this and love to come back. We’d be happy to welcome you, too.

P.S.: If you’re traveling with toddlers, we can provide a high chair.
