"When I asked some Italian friends about the most beautiful lake in Italy, they all mentioned "il Lago d'Orta". We decided to spend a week near the lake and were not disappointed. "We very much enjoyed our stay. We organised this very last minute and Illaria was swift in replying and very helpful indeed throughout our stay. The house is very comfortable and spacious. The village is sweet and the starting point for lovely walks. We ate in good restaurants nearby Orta which is beautiful. Even though we came late October early November the kids even jumped for a chilly dip in the pool. I would recommend a stay here "

"As a party of 4 friends, we stayed for 3 nights. Carolina has a lovely apartment with a big balcony looking over the lake and separate garden area with lake access. She was really helpful and welcoming. There are local restaurants to walk to and a boat available over to Orta - its a lovely tranquil place to stay. "

"Arrival was sooner than planned and the host let us in right away wich is very nice thanks!The house is roomy and has a great view of the lake.The bathroom is nice .The bedroom is good.The kitchen is good enough .A problem was, there is no air-conditioning and no mosquito netting and no fan so I couldn't sleep well the first night, after asking the host we got a fan and mosquito repellent spray which was very nice of the owner. But for sleeping with the windows open was still a problem I bought...

"This is a true lakeside experience! The boathouse is beautifully decorated with every detail thought out. The breakfast was lovely and the view is unmatched. The only negatives are that there is no AC but this is compensated by windows that let in a fabulous breeze from all 4 sides. This does allow the mosquitoes in but that's life on a quiet lake. Do stay here and swim or kayak on one of the nicest lakes in Italy. Highly recommended."

"Very nice location. Cool inside and 3 nice terraces. Always a sunny or shadow site. Great big fenced garden (great when you have a dog). Beautiful view over Orta lake. Marina is a very kind owner. Nearby when you need her and surprising us with some vegetables and honey from the garden. Lago Maggiore is also nearby with several nice towns. We rented a boat for Lago Orta, which was very nice"

"The hotel is nice but located on a noisy roadway in a commercial area. I would recommend reserving a quieter room in the back of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, even opening the breakfast room at 5:30 instead of 7 because of our early flight. Rooms are small but well-appointed. "
