"We walked in and immediately appreciated how fresh and clean everything was, and the bright space with a beautiful ocean view. We found they provided everything we could have needed. Thank you for the snacks and the fresh milk for our coffee!"
"We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. We felt right at home and enjoyed our time here. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend."
"Kevin met us at the door of the Lark and Loon. Invited us in and gave us an orientation of the downstairs of building and our room. Kevin welcomed us to use the parlor and sitting room which was nicely decorated, but comfortable. There are no TVs in bedrooms, but there is one downstairs in sitting room. Our room was decorated very nicely. Comfortable bed and nice large bathroom. I loved the spinning wheel above the chest in the room. Kevin made a suggestion for us to go down to the brewpub which had music that night. My husband and I enjoyed the beer, cider and music. In the morning we treated to a very formal, beautiful breakfast table with coffee, tea, juice, delicious yogurt parfait and the best scone I have ever had that Leslie made. Kevin was gracious enough to share the scone recipe that was his grandmas. If you love history, Kevin had wealth of information of the area and the history of the area. Kevin made good recommendations of sites to see in the area."
Cozy bungalow and peaceful retreat in the heart of the scenic Annapolis Valley!
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Jackie and Peter's for 4 days at the beginning of Oct. From the moment we pulled into the driveway we felt the peace and quiet surround us, the property is just stunning! The view of the mountain is just spectacular. And then there were all the wonderful things that were waiting for us inside. Like, delicious homemade cookies, a bowl of fresh apples and cherry tomatoes, fresh farm eggs and countless of other little extras. There's everything you need from spices in the kitchen to a good selection of different types of coffee. Loved the take out coffee cups. After a day of exploring it was nice to come back to a comfortable space and stretch out on the couch by the cozy fireplace. Bedrooms and bathroom are great size and the house was clean. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and the lighted path that they have through the woods is magical! The size and privacy of the property is what we loved as well. The location is excellent. Jackie was very helpful with information about things to do and see. We saw some seals @ the Bay and Brier Island was so nice. Jackie and Peter are lovely hosts, they invited us over to their place on the river and provided us with kayaks so we could go for a paddle. It was definitely 1 of the highlights of our visit to the valley. Paddling on the Annapolis river with such spectacular scenery of the mountains all around us was just such a great experience. Thanks Jackie and Peter, for such a wonderful and memorable stay. We'll be back!"
"Loved the location and the property. The Bay of Fundy was awesome! The Crow's Nest was a Jewel and hiking the Delap trail was so beautiful!Thank you Annette!"
Cozy Cabin surrounded by nature-minutes away from Annapolis Royal!
10/10 Excellent
"A very cozy cabin with a wood burning stove. Close to activities we like (hiking) Good restaurants close by. My only suggestion would be some counter space in the bathroom and more kitchen counter would be nice."
"This was a very clean, lovely place to stay. The pool is nice and the area is gorgeous rural Nova Scotia. Stores aren’t far away. There was some construction going on in the unit beside. Other than that, it was a very nice stay!"
"Thank you Rodney for your warm hospitality and for sharing your expert knowledge of the history of Bailey House and Annapolis Royal. The historic home was like stepping back in time, but with all the modern comforts of today. We loved the Prince Edward room with the view of the basin. The cool sea air flowing through the windows was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was soft and cool. The bathroom amenities were premium and I loved the Dyson hair dryer. The breakfast each day was homemade with local ingredients and so fresh. We enjoyed the company of your guests from England very much. Thank you for all your recommendations of restaurants and things to do, we loved being able to walk everywhere."
